In the following video interview, Cornish speaks about Ant-Man and Marvel's decision to remove the Hank Pym reference from Thor. He also speaks a little about Tin-Tin which he is also working on. Unfortunately he isn't very forthcoming when asked about specific Ant-Man script details..

In case you missed it the first time around, or can't watch the vid, one line that will appear in the script is:

I am Ant-Man

Along with Cornish, Ant-Man was co-written by Edgar Wright who will also direct.

im not a fan of Ant-Man at all but it seems Joe Cornish found a way to make the character interesting for the general public.

Edgar Wright's directing...I am sold, he could make a Howard the Duck remake and I would be down.

I feel like the "I Am Ant-man" quote will be like a parody on "Iron Man." I gotta admit, I like the way this movie is developing.

I can think of at least 3 reasons:
1)set him up for an Avengers sequel
2)it could include The Wasp too
3)background for Ultron as a future Avengers villain!

@ jazzman

i'm not a fan of ant-man either,i prefer giant-man but maybe if the film is a box office smash they'll have giant-man in the sequel.

also i like what marvel studios are doing with their characters & all their films have been good so far.

Don't like Ant-Man, but do like the director and if he doesn't take it too seriously it might work.

Deffo seeing Attack The Block asap.

Ant-Man was one of the original Avengers and he's not even going to be in The Avengers movie. If any character deserves to be adapted next it's him.

I still hope it will be changed from early plans, so Pym won't be an old man in the current movie continuity...I mean, if it has to be a movie about the second Ant-Man with Pym in the past...fine..but don't put Pym in the sixties. Have a twenty year old Pym be the first Ant-Man in flashbacks to 10-15 years ago, so Pym can be Yellowjacket or Giant-Man int he current timeline of the movies.

@marvel72

i really like how Marvel Studio giving lesser known characters a chance to shine on the big screen.

@ jazzman

they have to give their lesser characters a shot,it would be different if they had spider-man,fantasic four & the x-men.

but that's never gonna happen, its just a dream.

TelaVizion @ You Seen any of Edgar Wright's stuff? Have you not seen/listened to Joe Cornish on the Adam & Joe show??

Trust me - even if this is like an out and out comedy it won't be like 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids'.

I just hope they are allowed to keep their balls when they make this like they did with Pegg & Frost so we don't get another 'Paul'

They really need to work on the title because I just don't see Ant Man working in theatres. maybe the Incredible Ant Man, or maybe the Amazing Ant Man. Oh wait,,how about The guy that should have been in the Avengers with Wasp Ant Man.
