Declared yesterday as one of the front-runners for the title role in Edgar Wright's Ant-Man film, actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt recently attended the Paris premiere of his directional debut, Don Jon. And with The Huffington Post on the scene, The Dark Knight Rises actor was pressed about signing on for the 'Phase 3' Marvel Studios adaptation. "There is always a lot of rumors around these projects and so far it is still only discussions," Gordon-Levitt said. "I am always very transparent when it comes to my role and my career. I'm Usually the first to speak and communicate with my fans if something happens. If you hear nothing from me, they are just rumors."
A typical Joseph Gordon-Levitt response; one similar to when he was rumored for Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy. Anyhow, as reported yesterday, Levitt is in contention with Anchorman 2 actor Paul Rudd for the lead Ant-Man role, and the two thespians will apparently meet with director Edgar Wright and Marvel executives once more before a deal is made. And with the possibility of a third actor being considered, Ant-Man is expected to start shooting in England either closer to this year's end or beginning of 2014. And the anticipated film is slated for release on July 31, 2015.
