Paul Rudd Says He's Not Getting "Too Jacked' For ANT-MAN

Don't expect a Chris Pratt -esque transformation for Paul Rudd's portrayal of Scott Lang in Marvel Studios' Ant-Man. The comedic actor was a guest on the Colbert Report on June 26, where he discussed his training for the superhero role.

Paul Rudd was the guest on the Colbert Report this past week, where he briefly discussed getting in shape for the movie Ant-Man.  He said, "I've had to kind of try and get in better shape.  I don't get too jacked."  He went on to explain, "It doesn't make sense for someone trying to be an ant."

What do you guys think?  Should our Ant-Man be more jacked?

@AsgardianHobo

I agree about Rudd. I just don't care for the Scott Lang character. If we were getting an Ant-Man movie why couldn't it have been Hank Pym and Janet?

No Ant-man (Pym or Lang) shouldn't be jacked, just in shape

Nah he definitely doesn't have to be jacked, just in shape (which he already is).

I once hired a pt to and he told me he could get me ripped. After a while, he was done and the only thing I had lost was a bucket full of money. My friends told me; Dude.. you got ripped off.
That's when I got it.

@EzioKenway1225

Wright: Well, the thing is that what we want to do, the idea that we have for the adaptation is to actually involve both. Is to have a film that basically is about Henry Pym and Scott Lang, so you actually do a prologue where you see Pym as Ant-Man in action in the 60′s, in sort of “Tales to Astonish” mode basically, and then the contemporary, sort of flash-forward, is Scott Lang’s story, and how he comes to acquire the suit, how he crosses paths with Henry Pym, and then, in an interesting sort of Machiavellian way, teams up with him. So it’s like an interesting thing, like the “Marvel Premiere” one that I read which is Scott Lang’s origin, it’s very brief like a lot of those origin comics are, and in a way, the details that are skipped through in the panels and the kind of thing we’d spend half an hour on.

Yeah Scott Lang is just your everyday ex convict that needs money

If he was all buffed up like cap and ezio

U would start thinking why is he always in the gym, when he has more important things to worry about.

Paul can just look in decent shape is okay.... Basically just don't have a gut wearing the Antman suit is all we saying

Ezio

But he never really said Lang would steal the suit, that's what everyone assumed when he said it was a heist movie.
The mentor thing does sound different but he never talk about the relationship they would have.
Everything is just speculation so far.
I just hope the movie is good and i won't care for what it could be

I really hope we get an Ant-Man prequel starring a young Pym. It'd stop Pymfans from being angry, and it would be able to expand the universe more. (I also would like another period piece superhero film.)

@DylanTBest

Who would you cast as young Pym?
