"Oh yeah, I'm gonna do a Marvel Comics thing called Ant-Man," said Michael Douglas when David Letterman brought up the 2015 adaptation, and suggested that the veteran actor still has the opportunity to take on new and challenging roles. "Yep, Ant-Man with Paul Rudd - wonderful actor- and I'm taking Dylan out to Comic-Con for the first time in my life. Which I hear is a scene and a half." Letterman then asked if Ant-Man was a popular comic, to which Douglas replied, "I'm not a comic guy...a couple people in your staff know about it. I don't think it was one of your major [superhero] ones, but this is about an ant." Back on San Diego Comic-Con, which is two weeks away, the Hank Pym actor says he doesn't know all of what to expect. "They just say it is insane; they say it is completely insane. It's a little bit like a Halloween party...everyone gets dressed up as their favorite character; I'm not quite sure. But Marvel has a night & evening." Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Ant-Man was looking to cast a younger-looking Michael Douglas look-alike presumably for flashback scenes in the film, and now Project Casting reveals that the Atlanta-based Marvel Studios production is seeking experienced photo doubles/stand-ins for stars Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, and Corey Stoll. For specifics on how you could apply for the gig, make the jump here. In the meantime, check out this fan art of Douglas as Hank Pym.

@BLVD - I have news for you. Ant-Man will be:
Funny
Entertaining
Decent
Continuing to expand the MCU (Which is really the best thing about any of these movies)

Majority reactions will be:
Garbage kid flick
Hatred
Love
Appreciation
Paul Rudd really surprised them

Then you will have 6 guys who will complain that:
They messed up a villain no one cared about
They made no mention of domestic abuse
Ant-Man didn't do X and they wanted him to do X

Then you will have 6 guys who will rave:
Ant-Man was on screen before 3/4th of the justice league

Just sit back and enjoy the ride man.

Im still disappointed about the whole Edgar Wright thing, but im still willing to give this movie a chance. Its got a great cast and im sure they are still using the key elements from Wrights script.

Someone needs to slap the taste of Edgar Wright off this movie. Nobody wants to see the adventures of Old Man Pym.

@yossarian If only every user on this site had the same mindset as you, then everyday would be a good day... Not that it isn't though, I mean, we've still got you and a few others.

I know I haven't interacted much but for all the years I've visited this site, I know we had a tight-knit community. I've seen many users come and go and then disappear entirely. Many who you would sorely miss as you would a close friend, and the many who return as if they had walked through the fire once you turned your back, just like in the movies. Then again, this is what makes our community.

Oh and my favourite Michael Douglas movie is this one...

Very true Dios. Very true. Also, this movie had a director/writer attached and left. So there will be, "The movie was average and really the only thing I can wonder is, what epicness did MS squander by not allowing Wright to do his thing?"

All the time Phoenix.
