AQUAMAN Set Photo Shows Mera On The Run From Some Villainous Atlanteans
A new photo from the set of Aquaman has found its way online and it features Amber Heard's Mera running from danger - but why is it that Atlanteans are chasing down their queen? Hit the jump for details!
Many of us expected Warner Bros. to release the first trailer for Aquaman during this year's San Diego Comic-Con but with nearly a year and a half to go until the release of the movie, we probably shouldn't have been too surprising that only a snippet was shown to those in Hall H. Thanks to that, we learned that Ocean Master will have a number of Atlanteans on his side who take aim at Arthur Curry.
Mera clearly isn't going to be safe, though, as a blurry new set photo show's the character - played by Amber Heard - on the run from some villainous Atlanteans who clearly want to take her down.
Like Wonder Woman, the hope is that Aquaman will herald a new age for Warner Bros.' DC Comics adaptations but with just the one on the way in 2019 (due to Flashpoint's numerous delays), it could be some time before we learn whether or not that's worked! In the meantime, Jason Momoa's King of Atlantis will be making his presence felt in Justice League when it's finally released this November.
