POLL: How Do You Feel About James Spader Being Cast As Ultron In THE AVENGERS Sequel?
There were no rumors when it came to who would be voicing Ultron in The Avengers: Age of Ultron; Marvel preempted all of that by officially announcing that it would be James Spader on their own website.
Forgetting any Marvel or DC bias for a second, there's simply no getting around the fact that James Spader being cast as Ultron failed to generate even a fraction of the buzz that Ben Affleck being cast as Batman did. A surprise considering the fact that we're talking about the main villain in the sequel to the highest grossing superhero movie of all-time! Had Joss Whedon and Marvel gone for a big name, excitement levels would have been through the roof; instead the reaction was more a case of "Who?" and "Who cares?" It appeared that anyone under the age of 30 had absolutely no idea who Spader is, while those who did listed a number of obscure television shows and movies equally as many had never heard of as proof that he's a good choice. So, how do YOU feel about this casting decision? Well, here's your chance to tell us!
