Anticipation is building towards the arrival of the first
Avengers 4 trailer, and now we may have our first real clue as to when we can expect it.
Geoff Keighley, the mastermind behind The Game Awards, announced today that
Avengers 4 directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be joining the show next week, sparking speculation that this will be when the trailer is revealed. The Game Awards have become a major spectacle over the past few years and it could provide the perfect stage for Marvel to debut the highly anticipated trailer for the follow-up to last year's blockbuster
Avengers: Infinity War.
The tweet is hardly confirmation, but The Game Awards is one of the last big major events of the year and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige
did say that the Avengers 4 trailer will be with us before 2018 is over.
Of course, it's also possible that the Russo Brothers could be joining The Game Awards to introduce Square Enix's
The Avengers Project.
Remember that? The mysterious game, which is being developed by Crystal Dynamics, was first teased all the way back in January 2017, but we haven't seen or heard much from it since. It's entirely possible that the game could finally be fully revealed at The Game Awards since it's more on topic - but perhaps we'll get a trailer for both!
The Game Awards will be broadcast on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 8:30pm EST / 5:30pm PST. Unlike most major awards shows, it won't be screened on standard television; however, there
are plenty of options for streaming, including YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, and Steam. You can also tune in through your Xbox or PlayStation.
In all likelihood, if the trailer is shown off during the stream, it'll probably be uploaded to all the official Disney and Marvel YouTube channels as well. As always, we'll have it here as well the moment it goes live, so be sure to stop by and celebrate whenever the trailer is released.
