We last saw Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye at the end of the box office juggernaut
The Avengers going his separate way from the team. While doing his press rounds for his latest movie,
The Bourne Legacy, Renner talked with
MTV about the character and his desire to play him again. He also said that at the moment he has no idea where the character will go or when he will play him again. He said Marvel are the puppeteers of the character and has no idea whats going on.
"It's a great character. There's a lot to explore there for me personally but I have no idea where they'll go with it. That's another sort of, [there are] puppeteers, they have their own ideas. I have no idea what's going on, people are probably more informed than I am of the reality of me being in another movie."
There were rumors floating around that Renner and Scarlett Johansson would be making an appearance in
Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but based on what Renner just said it seems that is highly unlikely. You can Check out Jeremy in
Marvel's The Avengers when it is released on blu-ray on September 25th later this year.
