Jeremy Renner Will Star In HAWKEYE TV Series On Disney+ Streaming Service Featuring Kate Bishop

We've been hearing rumours about this for a while, but it's now been revealed that Avengers: Endgame star Jeremy Renner will indeed star in a solo series for Clint Barton/Hawkeye on the Disney+ platform.

As we've suspected for a while now, Hawkeye is indeed coming to Disney+ but he won't be alone. Variety reveals that the limited series will feature Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton passing the torch to Kate Bishop. In the comics, Kate was a member of the Young Avengers who made the mantle her own, and the two have teamed up on a number of occasions since.

This obviously confirms that Hawkeye will survive the events of Avengers: Endgame, but it's unclear whether the inclusion of Kate Bishop means Renner's stint as the hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will end after the six to eight episode series debuts.

Either way, Hawkeye joins a busy Disney+ slate which includes shows for characters like Loki, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Vision and the Scarlet Witch

Renner made his debut as the character in Thor, and neither he nor fans were shy about criticising the way the archer was handled in The Avengers. Hawkeye was then given significant roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, but was cut from Captain America: The Winter Soldier in the scripting stages and didn't appear in Avengers: Infinity War.

He will, however, be a key part of Avengers: Endgame later this month.

Excellent, exactly the kind of series I was hoping for from Disney+.

We are going to need something more than Kate Bishop to watch that show.

Think it´s gonna be a copy of ARROW tv series

I mean all Comic Book Fans

Nowadays we are at the point that there are so many superhero tv series and movies that we must choose just the good ones in order to organize our time.

Why must we spend our time watching a clone of ARROW?

@lvcl - Apart from Kate Bishop, we literally know nothing about the show and you are already judging it. Do you really think Disney+ will copy a CW series?

@lvcl - Besides the main character being a archer/superhero, I think there’s about a 0% chance this show will be anything at all like Arrow. For one, I expect it to actually be good.

There better be Pizza Dog

Off topic (or on because it’s marvel)

You guys ever think about how Thanos’s snap would have taken away Foggy & Karen while Matt is hanging with them and Matt would be hearing half of NYC evaporate & Matt not knowing what is happen?

@LEVITIKUZ - Semi-related, I tend to doubt that Marvel will go there because they're in the business of cross-cultural-global-culture rather than investigating the specific quirks of some religious movements, but the Snap is basically the inciting incident of the entire genre of Rapture fiction.

Matt probably wouldn't think a dumbass like Tim LaHaye was right or anything, but I have to imagine he (and a lot of other folks) would view it in religious terms.

@LEVITIKUZ - Well, after Endgame nobody would even remember the snap if time travel and, or reality altering is involved. The only ones that will remember are the ones who were involved with reversing the snap. It'll be like nothing ever happened to everyone else.
