Ben Affleck might be Batman, but not the Batman for the next trilogy

New Batman still to be found.

Been reading alot of the comments in regard to Affleck being Batman and why it is such a shocking move considering he abandoned any comic book movie interest after doing Daredevil for Fox. So why Batman after Argo and all the serious actor-director accolades?

I am not convinced Affleck is going to be Batman in the reboot. I think him taking on the role is simply to collect a huge cheque, carry the main actor moniker, but not have to carry the responsibility of a franchise or trilogy on his back that will be compared to Nolans. I propose he will do 30 minutes to an hour of screen time in Man of Steel 2, then return to star and direct th JLA movie. Once both are completed, he and WarnerBros will move from there to explore more JLA al Wheddon an Downey in the Avengers. If it works, Affleck will stay on and do sequels. If no, he will cash his huge cheques and step aside for h next great young actor and director to reboot Batman and establish a new, younger trilogy wih a Joker and the rest of he rogue gallery returning, but under a new vision.

Anyways, thats my theory. He will coast through two movies with all the established groundwork in place, and bring an experienced Batman to Man of Steel 2 and JLA, thn rave h keys for someone else to reboot anew.

one probelm with ur post...Snyder is most likely to direct the Jl movie, not Affleck, who had a chance but turned turned down directing MOS...why would he take on a bigger project like JL?

I still say that Snyder directing Justice League is a mistake. I won't blame Snyder for Man of Steel but, he needs to improve as a director before they consider him for Justice League. They are just looking for someone to replace Nolan and be their Whedon. They think they found that in Goyer and Snyder. As far as Ben Affleck as Batman goes, he is already signed for multiple movies. Personally, I can picture him as Bruce Wayne but not as Batman. I won't say he can't do it cause I know he can. He was a good DareDevil, and The Town (not Argo despite still being a good movie) is what convinces me he will do the role justice.

I was actually thinking of when Warner Bors will actually start the Batman reboot and 2018/2019 came to mind. A Batman reboot going against Avengers 3 would be pretty rad. Everyone will have seen Bats in the MoS sequel and we'll be able to easily dive into a new tale featuring the character.

When filming begins for the Man of Steel sequel Affleck will possibly be 42. In 2017 the "rumored" date for the release of the JLA movie he will be 44. And if and ONLY if they decide to dish out his own films afterwards you're looking at a guy who'll be playing ole Bats until his 50's. I honestly feel that Batman can do the age range of 50. The Arkham Games seems like it.

What do you guys think? What would you like to see in a a batman reboot??

This whole article translates to "I don't approve of Affleck for Batman so I'll write up a summation of wishful thinking."

Ben Affleck is the new Batman. Get over it.

@BlackJack10

Totally agreed with your second comment. That's why I have a tough time watching all the Marvel Phase 1 films. When they recast noticeable roles it just throws me completely off.

Right... Affleck is WB's wonder boy... As long as he and his people get to take a pass at the script he's this will be epic

So let me get this straight. You believe that Affleck will do World's finest and then JL and then WB will reboot his character but leave the rest of the actors and actresses the same?

that is one of the dumber things I have read here.

I can't believe I read this crap.

So you're saying Cavill's Superman will exist through 2 entirely different Batmen?

This is a joke article. There's no other intelligent excuse for this drivel.

ready for the wrench in your post.....its already been confirmed that Affleck signed a multi-picture deal with WB to play Batman, now if that includes a trilogy or not is up for debate, but he will be at least in 1 solo Batman film after the MOS sequel

Yeah let's cast an Oscar winning director and good actor for one movie. Then we could recast someone else to be Batman in the solo films because that would be such great continuity and not a waste of time and money at all! I like your thinking.
