Been reading alot of the comments in regard to Affleck being Batman and why it is such a shocking move considering he abandoned any comic book movie interest after doing Daredevil for Fox. So why Batman after Argo and all the serious actor-director accolades?

I am not convinced Affleck is going to be Batman in the reboot. I think him taking on the role is simply to collect a huge cheque, carry the main actor moniker, but not have to carry the responsibility of a franchise or trilogy on his back that will be compared to Nolans. I propose he will do 30 minutes to an hour of screen time in Man of Steel 2, then return to star and direct th JLA movie. Once both are completed, he and WarnerBros will move from there to explore more JLA al Wheddon an Downey in the Avengers. If it works, Affleck will stay on and do sequels. If no, he will cash his huge cheques and step aside for h next great young actor and director to reboot Batman and establish a new, younger trilogy wih a Joker and the rest of he rogue gallery returning, but under a new vision.

Anyways, thats my theory. He will coast through two movies with all the established groundwork in place, and bring an experienced Batman to Man of Steel 2 and JLA, thn rave h keys for someone else to reboot anew.
