RUMOR: Marion Cotillard Turns Down Role In Batman 3

We have all speculated that Christopher Nolan may use actors from his latest movie, Inception, in his upcoming Batman 3 project. Rumors of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the Riddler have run rampant. Ellen Page, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Marion Cotillard have all been "fan-casted" in the latest sequel also. Now it seems we may have been on to something.

PerezHilton.com is reporting that Marion Cotillard was offered a role in the unnamed Batman 3 movie as either Talia al Ghul or Selina Kyle. Perez also reports that she turned down the roles (for now) due to a possible scheduling conflict.

Let's all take this with a grain of salt, of course. I mean, it's Perez Hilton for christs sake. But if it's true, maybe someone's schedule could be moved around and we could see Marion as our leading lady in Batman 3.

I personally think she would be great in either role, but Talia al Ghul would make more sense to me. I don't see Nolan recycling another major villain from Bat's history.

Which role would you rather see Marion take on? Selena or Talia?

Who in their right minds would turn down a Batman film especially directed by Nolan! I'm pretty sure she would easily choose this and turn down her other conflicting scheduled films.

I really hope this is not true!:D She is so talented actress and love of my life so i hope she ends up playing one of those roles! My vote goes to Talia too! The other villain in the movie should be Bane played by Javier Bardem (And of course the realistic version of him). Two-Face comeback wouldnt be bad either! I know that everyone says he is dead, but everything is possible in movies!:) Just my opinion! Dont be mad about it!

i disagree brazilianbatman, talia is usually waaaaay hotter than catwoman, and marion is not hot enough for TALIA.

I think Talia needs a talented actress! The looks comes second! Marion is waaay better than Alba or some other chick! She is beautiful, talented and sometimes pretty menacing too (Watch Inception)! Just what Talia needs!

I agree...it needs to be one hell of a movie for her to turn down Batman3 by a director who she has expressed on several occasions that she would love to work with again. I think she is hot enough to pull off either. I think she is closer to what Adam Hughe's Catwoman looks like...but I'd rather see Talia in the movie.

TALIA AL GHUL all the way!!! Catwoman would be opening a whole new world of things far too late, in my opinion, but Talia, has ties right to the very beginning, and could wrap the story around to a perfect plot ending to this incredible trilogy! Bruce doesn't even have to know she is Ra's Daughter, but at the end she could lure him to The Riddler, but really The Riddler could be the one getting him vulnerable for Talia and a big reveal, The ultimate puzzle..

Absolute rubbish. I'd rather both characters not be in it, but if I had to choose, I'd have to agree with GusGalaxy's post about Catwoman, I'd probably go with Talia.

Exactly,GusGalaxy...and Nolan said he does not want "to blow up the balloon and expanding the story."
His intention is to finish the trilogy.
For this reason, Talia has more real chances to be in the movie than Selina/Catwoman.

alex, from what you just said, marion in inception was more selina than talia...i agree that the talent comes foremost, but i think she is more suited for selina, imo.

and who the hell would put alba in something like this?!

also, i think that ra'as al ghul said in batman begins that he once had a wife and daughter who were murdered long ago. so i dont think it makes sense to bring her in, like those who want to randomly stick batgirl in the movie, even though that is stupid, and the gordon's daughter is a baby.

so according to that, i think it would probably be selina kyle for batman 3.

Ras NEVER said his daughter was murdered,he said only about his wife.
And Mal from Inception has much more of Talia than Selina.
Talia is crazy of love and obsessed for Batman like Mal was for his husband Cobb.
Sorry but Marion is more suited for Talia,not Selina.
And I don´t believe Selina/Catwoman will be in it. Not really.
