Is Bucharest Romania in line for The Dark Knights Rises film shoots?

We are aware that The Dark Knight Rises plans on filming in Detroit and various other "unconfirmed" locations. Now, according to the Romania Insider it appears that some filming may take place in Bucharest.

The following is from romania-insider.com....

Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu said the film’s producers and city officials met to discuss technical issues and director Christopher Nolan presented a list of shooting locations for a future project, such as Bucharest’s historical center and Edgar Quinet Street. People close to the matter said filming might also take place in the Palace of Parliament, as some members of the production team have visited a few of its rooms.

Nolan visited the Turda salt mines in northwestern Romania in December 2010. Turda Mayor said the visit was “unofficial” but involved “scouting” for a future project.

Actually I just checked & I don't think any of those locations could serve as Wayne Manor.
But the Palace Of Parliment looks fantastic & it's a HUGE building

Bane origin likely, lazarus pits maybe it would be hard to explain some getting Ra's body since everything exploded.

I would say Eve Green as Talia would really explain the cat woman. I don't see Nolans Bats dropping a girl. I see Bats saving Cats ass through the movie and she makes the save for a huge bat vs bane , catwoman vs talia fight scenes for the ending.

I think the viral should be about other villians that batman encounters in gotham between movie. Expand the universe with out having to have them in the movie.

Cool.I like when they film in foreign countries.They usually have a more historic look and rough exterior that fits perfect in the world of Nolan's Batman movies.I can't wait to see what this movie will bring us.

Is very curious of the "future scouting" statement, still in my heart of hearts, I think that these should be 4 movie concepts, the first one "Batman Begin" the 'cringe' reboot, and then the trilogy as everyone keeps stating but as we have seen with the Spiderman Movies, Tobey Maguire could have done another pic to redeem himself leaving Harry to be in another movie thinking about the consequences of buring the Goblin project what ever he should do with it

Everyone beat me to it...definitely Bane stuff. I am actually very excited to see what Hardy and Nolan do with Bane. The character might actually get some depth. For my money, he is one of the most complete and intriguing of all Batman's rogues. He is the one that is not only Bats' physical superior, but he often shows to damn near be Bats' intellectual and tactical equal. And with Hardy filling the role...I see big things...

I just hope the entire series doesn't end with Bane crippling Batman. That seems like a Nolan-ish thing to do, though....

Ugh Bane, holy johnny come-lately villain choice.
So disappointing. Anyone who has been a fan of Batman for more than 10 years
should be fighting back the taste of puke.

Interesting he's scouting the 'Turda' Salt Mines.
Fits right in as the backdrop for his villain selection.

I'm still not wrapping my brain around the whole Bane thing, but Nolan hasn't disappointed yet. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see.

I've got a feeling that Catwoman and Bane are NOT the central villians.

that there may be a central villian not yet announced.

I'm not sure how you build a story that centers on either of them as the main villian.
