"Yes, if they do another one, I'll probably be the butler. I hope I'm still alive. Michael Goth, who played Batman before me, the last time he played in Batman he was 84."

On the topic of the main Villain Michael Caine sts: That would be probably The Riddler.

There you have it. Straight from the Butler's mouth. If there are any people in this world you can trust for accurate dirt on billionaire playboys just ask the staff or in this case the Butler, they've got it all.

I doubt that he knows. He probably won't know until they send him the script or cast the role. He's just guessing based on discussion of fans and some water-cooler talk around Hollywood.

He said Johnny Depp was playing the Riddler WAAAAAAY back in the fall. I think he's just screwing with us. Riddler would be very lame anyway.

I think if either the Riddler or the Penguin are used in the next movie... Michael Emerson would play either of those roles AMAZINGLY! He would be perfect for any "evil genius" role. ALSO... he would make an excellent Moriarty in the Sherlocke Holmes movie.

Here's a picture of Emerson if you don't know who I'm talking about. He's an amazing actor, and would be one of the few people alive I could see doing anything that could in any way remotely rival Heath Ledgar's joker.

riddler done right would be amazing
jim carry did alright for the time, but that movie in general was borderline at best
im not a fan of the penguin as a major villian, maybe a cameo as a crime boss
killer croc or poison ivy done well would also make good villians

I'm not believing one gosh darn story posted today, CBMC!

Idealy, I think the villians this time SHOULD be either CATWOMAN or RIDDLER! Nolan could produce a kick-@$$ RIDDLER, and CATWOMAN. It'd be a perfect time to bring in Selena Kyle for Bruce, and since BATMAN is a fugitive, who better to frame for HER crimes?

Or, Riddler would be a formidable foe for the Batman, causing "Memento-style" puzzles, pushing him to his limits.

But not BOTH. It'd be too complex to pull that story off!

Jody Lynn O'Keefe for CatWoman and Johnny Depp for Riddler! :)

The atmosphere wouldn't be as "Dark," since these antagonists aren't killers, but it'd still be a fun ride!

And I can't wait to see BALE and DEPP as enemies in PUBLIC ENEMIES this July! woot woot! :)

I'm very sorry... The Riddler is such a freaking weak villian. I mean seriously. A man that only uses riddles to purposely be caught by a guy around in bat-tights? Really? How could they POSSIBLY do it right? How could they POSSIBLY make the movie interesting?

Wait.

Sorry.

Forgot it was Nolan directing the friggin' thing...

I'll probably enjoy it... I was one of the main people thinking that Ledger would do a crappy job....may he rest in peace...

On a side-note. realfirstavenger.

Seriously? Poison Ivy? Killer Croc? Jim Carrey did a decent Riddler? NO NO NO NO NO. Nolan is going for REALISM. Hence why the Joker had a painted face, and not bleached skin. Hence why Two-Face probably isnt coming back. Killer Croc is too fantasy, and Poison Ivy? Dont even get me started. Jim Carrey as the Riddler was a travesty to DC comics. Same with Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. And the Governator as freaking Mr. Freeze. Ugh. Stick to the Avengers there buddy.

Bane done properly would be great and i'll keep saying it. It's just that Nolan used Ra's Al Ghul to bust out the Arkham inmates instead, the intelligent behemoth is the way to go not the dumbed down one from before.

Michael Goth? Really?

I have been saying that Bane would be a perfect fit for the next Nolan movie! I think a Riddler, Bane combo could be incredible if done right. But it would be hard to fit both of their stories in. But I think Bane all of the way. So I agree with BreakUbatman
Think about it, He's just getting into his nich really. He is finally starting to become basically untouchable and gets overly confidant (the way batman really was) and then Bane shows up and pumbles him physically. Hell, they've already started what Kightfall set up in the beginning by letting all of the inmates out of Arkham.

creeper is too fantasy for Nolan's films

No one can say what villians can work together as a combo. Honestly I would of never thought of putting scarecrow and rah's al ghul together. And i would of never thought of putting two face and the joker togther. If Nolan can do that, I think he could a couple more together too.

Did you ever check out that Hush book? The Riddler is evil as hell in that one. Who said Michael Emerson?

warpath15

Awesome call on Emerson. That guy is the jam. I would support him in any role you mentioned.

I really hope the villain in Nolan's next film isn't the riddler
Caine has said this before and I don't believe it to be true
I think and hope that Nolan will use a villain we haven't seen in a movie yet...

I'm pulling for Black Mask as the main villain
Batmite79

Adrian Brody as the Riddler. His origin should be similar to that of BTAS. He is an obviously intelegent man that helps solve mysteres, and ala Geraldo and Al Capones vault, he is embarrased on television, he attacks Gotham for it's inferior intellects and for his ridicule. I also think that Nolan should make a reference to other heroes or to the Graysons. It could be something as simple as; Gordon: Have you heard about that Robin Hood guy in Star City? OR: An old partner of mine working in Central City told me about something running around, moving faster then sound. All you see is a red blur sometimes." Thats just me, but I think it would be pretty cool and somewhat similar to what Marvel is doing.
Black Mask would also be a good villian. Vin Diesel, although not a great actor, has the best voice for him. He would also do a great Mr. Zazza

I'm still pulling for Deadshot. I know it's a longshot but I think he would be great with Nolan doing it and he fits right in with the way the last film ended. I would be ok with The Riddler though.

goyer has said he doesnt want to use catwoman and nolan doesnt want to use penguin. they've both said they want to use a villain never used before.
i think they should use johhny depp as riddler to test batmans mind and guy pierce as firefly to test batman physically. they could pull this off in nolans version of batman.
jttrainer45
jttrainer45 - 4/7/2009, 7:46 PM
the villains in Batman Begins were not the mainstream villains everyone new but they still worked wonderfully. I think Nolan could make a storyline with Deadshot into a marvelous movie.

Ra Al Ghul was Batman's original villain...
And Scarecrow isn't Mainstream? Granted, they never got around to him in the 1960's TV show, but since when is Scarecrow not a mainstream Batman villain?
