In a fairly lengthy interview with Empire Magazine about upcoming movie, Warrior, the British actor wasn't quizzed too much on his role in The Dark Knight Rises. However, he did express his excitement about getting to reteam with director Christopher Nolan and expressed his happiness about being a part of such big movies.

"Chris runs such a tight ship and he has an ability to carry a weighty orchestration of complex stuff. He's like a swan; very elegant on top, but underneath he's padding like [frick]!"

"It's like being on a conveyor belt. It was my time to be picked off. I'm just waiting to be put back in a box and forgotten..."

With an all star cast which includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

it might be good,it may suffer the curse of the 3rd film.

i don't think it'll break box office records.

the two biggest grossing batman films both featured the joker,the rest just done alright.

@AlbertBigelowPaine

Riddler is not goofy. if Nolan used The Riddler he would make the character more interesting.

@marvel72

i agree i dont think it will beat TDK numbers but i feel it will make Inception number at the box office.

I have complete faith in Nolan, the man loves cinema and he's great at making film. after B&R I thought Batman would never see the silver screen again. As for those characters he made up they might be pseudonyms...remember Henri Ducard (Rahs Al Ghul) granted Ducard was a DC character.

I'm glad he didn't go with the riddler I'm sure he could have done something interesting with him, but he's basically Joker - Lite.

I agree with BrazilianBatman, why not end a trilogy with a bang instead of Miranda Tate and John Blake. I cant see Bane and Catwoman carrying this movie, I just don't. For me I would like The Shadows to return with Bane and Talia helming it. Bane's serum could be created from Scarecrow and Catwoman could be helping out Bats. Alberto Falcone could be used to tie up the trilogy and Black Mask taking over the underworld. Sounds crowded I know but if there was someone to make it work, it would be Nolan.

@brazilianbatman

have u turn crazy cgi Tom Hardy as Bane he does not need no cgi to look big he can put on muscle mass naturally.

@George88

John Blake was in the comics anyway there already a article about it.

he should not be huge the guy needs to fight if his huge like a bodybuilder the fight scene would look to stiff.

ASSASSIN666 - 4/24/2011, 5:52 PM
I don't know how anyone could think in their tiny little minds that Bane should not be huge. Open the Goddamn comics, look at the pictures, you don't have to read, it's not that hard! Hardy is light years away from being a big guy. The guy doesn't look like he could intimidate a third grader for Christ sake. I'm all for Nolan keeping it real, but then use another f**king character, don't use someone who is going to be an epic fail with the die hards!!!!!!!
superbatspiderman
superbatspiderman - 4/24/2011, 5:57 PM
I hope this guy pulls it off and just blows uus away like Ledger did in the Dark Knight. I hope that next year people put HArdy in their lists of great comic book movie performances.

Make Hardy look like Bane on Young Justice where he a mormal sized guy that becomes huge when he uses Venom. Nolan should use more CGI for this movie.

WellDrawn - 4/24/2011, 7:11 PM
@BlazinTexan - Nic Cage has been good in plenty of flicks, the problem is 99.9% of ever role he takes is just for the payday, with him phoning in performances left and right.

im kind of disappointed that bane isnt a south american latino like he is SUPPOSE to be. people complained about the new spiderman possibly being an african american when it was announced but they'll make a british white guy replace a latino character. theres not a lot of latino comic characters to begin with ahole.
