BATMAN v SUPERMAN: Jeremy Irons Talks More About His Very Different Take On Alfred
2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a movie which we still don't know all that much about, but it is clear that some of the characters will be quite a bit different to the last time we saw them on the big screen! Hit the jump for more details on Alfred Pennyworth...
Based on what we think we know about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder's take on the Caped Crusader will be drastically different to both The Dark Knight Trilogy and any other previous live-action versions of the iconic DC Comics character. Asked by Indiewire in a recent interview to talk about how his version of Alfred Pennyworth (Bruce Wayne's loyal butler and Batman ally) will compare to what we've seen in the past, actor Jeremy Irons told them the following: "Oh he'll be quite different. He has an interesting history. He's a very competent man. He's the sort of man I think anyone would like to be married to. He can sort of do everything: change light bulbs, blow up bridges if he has to." Once again, it appears as if Snyder has turned to Batman: Earth One for his take on Alfred. Curious about why Jim Gordon isn't in the movie? You can find details on that by clicking here, but be prepared for some pretty major spoilers!
