Holly Hunter Talks BATMAN v SUPERMAN; Confirms Scenes With The Man Of Steel

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently shooting in Chicago, and The Wall Street Journal recently caught up with Holly Hunter to quiz her on starring in the Zack Snyder helmed movie. She obviously couldn't say too much, but did praise the director and her experience working on the highly anticipated 2016 release. "It was really fun to be part of a giant, massive piece of machinery, headed up by Zack Snyder, who is thoroughly at home in that uber mega environment. Most people would have a nervous breakdown with that kind of pressure, and he’s enthralled." As we mentioned above, rumour has it that Hunter plays a US Senator in the movie and it sounds like that will lead to her sharing scenes with the Man of Steel in Batman v Superman. "I have scenes with Superman. He looks phenomenal. And to see Ben [Affleck, who plays Batman] and Henry [Cavill, who plays Superman] together is quite formidable. They are massive hunks of masculinity." What do you guys think of these comments? Sound off below...

Remember when people complained that Ben Affleck didn't look big enough to play Batman?

Now they think he's to big...

Logic.

@ADv3point0

Because in the comics both Batman and Superman are muscled. I prefer the line of thought that superheroes are our modern day Greek gods and as such they should look powerful. I would expect a dude that fights in heavy rubber, armor, whatever and swings around and gets into fights should be of moderate size. A skinny shrimpboat superhero just isn't as enticing (a reason I dislike the Reeve/Routh Superman films).

Batman gotta be a "hunk of masculinity" though. He is at the peak of human training and conditioning. Think boxers, martial artist, gymnasts, body builders and being pressured by being the best of these. You would be a big ass fricker!

@ADv3point0

let the records show that we are debating why Superman and Batman are muscular and look like their comic book counterparts now.

Affleck got too muscular for the role. That's why I wanted DJ Qualls as Batman.

I think what @JamesMan means is:
If you're willing to read comics about muscular men or watch 2 hour movies about muscular men, yet you're going to bitch about some of them being muscular, there is something wrong with you.

No, it's bitching because your "concern" is utter crap. Your complaint can be likened to someone whining about why chocolate cake is brown.
