Major BATMAN v SUPERMAN Details On Batman's Role, Doomsday Battle, And Much More

More Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice details have found their way online, and they reveal plenty of new information about the highly anticipated 2016 release. According to Badass Digest, the movie kicks off with Batman's origin story (which we've seen filming) before picking up with Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne as he arrives in Metropolis during the fight between Superman and General Zod from Man of Steel. Things then jump ahead a couple of years, with the attention very much on Superman as we learn that he's now living with Lois Lane and works full-time at The Daily Planet. However, after being assigned to cover a football game between Metropolis and Gotham City, it appears as if he's actually much more interested in writing about the Caped Crusader!

Batman v Superman also examines how the latter is viewed by the rest of the world, with an appearance in the Middle East (where he arrives to assist Lois) resulting in an international incident. There's also a lot of Man of Steel follow-up too, with Superman apparently telling one villain - it's not specified who exactly - that, "I won't snap your neck, I'm going to take you to prison." However, he later threatens to break their back when he loses his temper! Dark. As for Doomsday, General Swanwick apparently, "tells the military that Superman will move the battle away from populated areas because he's a hero, and that's what heroes do." The site adds that most people in the movie view Superman as a hero, expect for Lex Luthor (obviously) and Batman, who actually preps anti-Superman weapons! Thoughts on these latest details? That sounds so deliberate and not good. I hope to hear none of this in the film; except Doomsday. Bring it...

So, what you're saying is that the WB big wigs were super pissed off about the backlash over Superman and Zod destroying half of NYC, I mean Metropolis, in Man of Steel and told Zack Snyder that he had better fix it in the sequel.

Personally, I like the aspect of Superman having to win over the humans of Earth and GROW into becoming a hero. Realistically, the public is VERY fickle. They can love you today, hate you tomorrow, and then fall in love with you again next week. This happens with celebrities everyday.
Although, not quite sure about Doomsday being in play already. I think he should've been left for Superman's next solo movie outing. The very thought of Doomsday fighting Superman sounds like another city-wide fight of destruction, mayhem and major collateral damage to come.

I don't believe this at all...Especially Swanwick's line. That would be blatant apologizing at it's worst, and I don't think Snyder would do that.

I was hoping that it wouldn't start off as a Batman flick but I could totally see the beginning being all Batman.

Gonna be so awseome to see that dynamic played out on screen, and how fun it will be to have them play off of each other, I also find it interesting that Clark is intrigued by Batman before the actually meet

Okay so people hated that he snapped Zod's neck, and now people are hating cause he's addressing it? JEEZ PEOPLE! Haters gonnaa Hate!!

@ BeeMo - AGreed about Superman having to grow into a heroic role, and the public being fickle.
Doomsday will probably NOT be the city-wide destruction, and he'll take it to an unpopulated area simply because of what happened in MoS.
