Rumor: Is there a Conspiracy against the DCEU Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice?

Is there a Conspiracy against the DCEU? Is there someone out there who truly wants DCEU to fail that they are using Blackhat smear campaign to target Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice?

A reddit user LegendsVII claimed this is happening to Batman v Superman. He posted some interesting findings on the techniques used on Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice. Of all those twitter accounts that are spreading rumors and negativity around Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice, you'll see that they've been active a relatively long time and they've been tweeting random stuff off the Internet through a script that crawls for random text and garbles the text. Could this be the work of someone who hates WB/DC movies and wants desperately for it to fail or could it be Disney themselves? No one’s knows for sure, but if you want to read more about his finding read his post at reddit.

“These are bots maintained by a single entity. You pay for a service like this for the bots to follow an account (if you want to have lots of instant followers on the first go), or in this case, broadcast a particular message. So my informed guess is that someone hired whoever maintains these bots to keep on tweeting this message throughout a desired period of time. A service like this can cost as little as $5 on Fiverr but if this is something cloak and dagger, it's possible the person behind it hired the service through a referral, not a public site like Fiverr.”

You can read his post and findings here.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio from David S. Goyer's screenplay.

@MattBellissimo - this website is quite literally called "comicbookmovie" so its not surprising they are covering news pertaining to a comic book movie
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 2/26/2016, 7:30 AM
@yunglilmane -You're missing my point entirely. It's got nothing to do with it being a comic book movie.

yunglilmane - 2/26/2016, 7:36 AM
@MattBellissimo - how not? one of the biggest issues surrounding this film so far is the amount of criticism its been receiving. if someone feels that they have actually found evidence of there being an active smear campaign against it how does it have nothing to do with it?
yunglilmane
yunglilmane - 2/26/2016, 7:32 AM
probably. while some of the criticisms are understandable, the hate has become pretty excessive and ridiculous. alot of the stuff ive seen lately has been just baseless and unfair and nothing you couldnt say about any other CBM

then again im the same guy who has felt for years that people just generally have it out for DC so...

"Could it be Disney themselves?" No it isn't because other then WB no one wants BVS to do well more then Disney. When will people learn that Marvel and DC are not in competition with each other, if a superhero movie is bad it's bad for the entire genre.

@Spideyguy94 - You're right. A company that cancels their cornerstone title, Fantastic Four, purely out of spite for Fox would never stoop this low.

even if its not an active campaign, it still does in fact show that someone out there feels so strongly about not liking this film that they would pay for bots to do this....you gotta buy all those fake tweets..someone really took time out of their day and money out of their wallet to set this up. and thats pretty damn sad.

and it would be a bit naive to think they'd be the ONLY one of their kind

This seriously needs ta STOP. Im a MARVEL fan not by choice but because dats wha I grew up reading. My Da's hand me hand me downs, since I was 7 yrs old and I continued reading from there but I have always loved DC. I was born in 83' always hoping, growing up dat id c MARVEL properties on da big screen in da same way Batman and Superman were. N now a movie is coming out depicting da greatest, most world renown icons ever pitted against each other n all I'm seeing is dis SHITE. Can we all not just embrace da moment. Seeing da thing da got my arse kicked in primary school now become da most popular form of entertainment in da world. My uncle never got ta live ta c dis day n I would give da world at 33 yrs of age ta share dis moment wit him. These ICONS realised on da big screen... together. So [frick] da naysayers, da bitter, da simple minded and da stupid cause dis is our Super Bowl, our World Cup, our World Series and I will b there opening day, cheering both sides as I will for CIVIL WAR. It has never been a better time to be a fan.

@GBear9 - This has to be the single most difficult paragraph I've ever tried to read, and I've read Chuck Palhaniuks "Pygmy". Seriously brother. At first I thought you were a young kid, then you said you were born in '83.... We're the same age.

It isn't Disney so everyone can stop saying that........it is obviously the one and only Dexter :P

Asking if Disney is behind it is kind of like asking if O.J. killed Nicole. If you look at Marvel/Disney's drastic measures to try to kill the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises (abruptly ending Fantastic Four comics, making the term "mutant" taboo, etc.) the evidence is already there. Not to say that Fox and WB don't sometimes do enough damage to themselves, but implying that Disney will quietly sit by and watch their reign of comic book movie supremacy go bye bye is nonsense.

Oh noes, the Marvel world conspiracy strikes again! How about we finance a counter-tweet-bot-spam-athon in a month to even the odds or whatever? The message would be:

"Civil War will be a two hour tracking shot of all the MCU characters engaging in a homoerotic pillow fight"
