Captain America Costumes Give Closer Look At Red Skull's Mask!

What appear to be official Captain America: The First Avenger fancy dress costumes not only give fans a chance to dress up as Cap, but also what might just be our first live action look at what the Red Skull will look like on the big screen...

Thanks to the keen eye of CBM's own TheBlackWidow, we have the following images of the Captain America and Red Skull fancy dress costumes which give us some indication of what the villain might look like in live action.









So there you have it. Apart from that concept art, this is technically our first look at the Red Skull! As you can see from the Captain America costume, they're not exactly identical in terms of design or quality to the big screen versions, but it's fair to say that's a VERY close interpretation of the villainous Red Skull we'll see later this year! Captain America: The First Avenger is set to be released in 3D on July 22, later this year!

If you look at how far off the Cap costume looks you can probably get a good idea of how far off the Red Skull looks also.

What makes me angry is you can never find MOVIE quality costumes these cheap looking costumes look terrible give me the Actual Movie costumes and don't try to charge me 1000 bucks like the Spiderman Movie costume or the Batman costumes!

Lol, LEE - you need to get on Twitter! It's there that TheBlackWidow reveals all these cool little finds...just lucky that I spot them before DCMF and Wolvie! The movie version apparently looks a lot better by the way, but this is a fairly good adaptation. :)

Looks a bit like Millar/Pacheco's version of the Red Skull in Ultimate Comics: Avengers vol. 1 (ears and everything). Only thing missing is the tatoo on his forehead. Obviously it's just a mask and i'm sure the prosthetics will look much better on film. Don't like the hydra suit though. He's a nazi, should have a nazi uniform.

When you look at how far off Cap's suit is in relation to movie stills, and how Skull's suit is nearly spot on to Johann Schmidt's from the stills...anyone else thinking that maybe Cap's suit is his modern suit?

Because that suit is sure a hell of a lot sleeker than what we've seen of the film version, and yet is perfectly in line with the concept art so...

These costumes come from www.disguise.com (costume makers who have the license). They have a Cap metal shield at present, but judging by the images it is going to be updated to include the silver, instead of white and the milled circles at the end of each of the centre star points. Its currently around $65 and is 23 inches wide - hopefully it will also be a little biggr
