CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Cleveland Filming Spots Indicate Action Scenes

As Sebastian Stan japes about his expanded, sub-titular role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Cleveland filming locations have been outed, alluding to scene details for the Marvel sequel.

Contrary to reports that filming for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was pushed back to June, Frank Grillo, who plays the villainous Crossbones, may have reaffirmed, yesterday, what Falcon actor Anthony Mackie revealed last month: principal photography will kick off on April 1st. With directors Joe and Anthony Russo shooting the Marvel sequel primarily in their hometown, Cleveland, Ohio, a couple of their scouted locations may have been outed. According to Twitter sources, Captain America: The Winter Soldier will film an “epic chase scene on the famous Cleveland [Memorial] Shoreway,” in addition to, “scenes in [one of] Cleveland’s largest bank vaults.” If these locations have been locked-in and Cleveland is doubling for New York City, as Marvel achieved with The Avengers last year, it seems the “Political Thriller” will feature bank robbery action scenes.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Stan will start prepping for Captain America: The Winter Soldier devotedly, considering his finale performance for the Broadway play Picnic was last Sunday. However, Stan told BlackBook that the live show provided an early start. “It became a great challenge to want to get into shape [for Picnic], but it coincides with [The Winter Soldier], where I have to be in shape. So, why not kill two birds with one stone?” When pressed about always being into comics, Stan admitted, “No. I didn’t know about comic books. We didn’t have comic books where I was growing up. I just discovered [them] now. I needed to become familiar with them, at least this story,” the actor added, referring to Ed Brubaker’s ‘Winter Soldier’ storyline. Also, after ending his Picnic run, Stan was greeted outside the theatre by fans, two of whom flaunted their Bucky and Captain America bears. “He took a normal photo with Captain Ameribear,” the fan writes. “[Stan] Then said, ‘Wait! This is what I’m going to do in Winter Soldier’ and choked the bear. It was amazing!”

Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where the highly anticipated “Marvel’s The Avengers” leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D., and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. Starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Toby Jones, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Maximiliano Hernández, Hayley Atwell, Scarlett Johansson with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed Anthony Russo & Joe Russo, produced by Kevin Feige, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on Marvel’s classic super hero Captain America, who first appeared in the comic book “Captain America #1” in March, 1941. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is presented by Marvel Studios and produced by Kevin Feige and co-produced by Nate Moore. The executive producers are Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso and Michael Grillo. The film releases April 4, 2014, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on other iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

didn't like the way Bucky was portrayed in the 1st film but i think he made alot out of a little. so i have faith in him that he'll be an excellent Winter Soldier.

shame about those shitty Directors though. chances of this movie being good are slim.

Those of you complaining about the Russo brothers directing this movie need to go watch Community right now. They have directed some of the best episodes of the show. And a lot of them are ACTION oriented. So go watch those then tell me they are wrong for the job. A Fistful of Paintballs comes to mind.

@batz11 two movies for cap and he still looks no better than widow or hawkeye, whilst blonsky in TIH in short amount of screentime was lifting people with one hand, outrunning soldiers, outrunning the hulk, outmaneuvering the hulk whilst going head to head with him, took a pair of sonic cannons and a full on kick from him

@MARVELPSYCHO79 they've got to make him stand him out and look impressive, they should look out how blonsky was portrayed whilst human in TIH. However i've got a feeling that with widow and falcon in the movie he wont stand out
