...Anyone curious about who died in the 'trailer'?

So, about that Grimlock? That Galvatron? That robot with a parachute?

Well...I couldn't get into it as much because it seems Ed Brubaker's work and the right blend of Ultimates and Secret War are coming to life. There's a scene I'll get to that got my mind ticking.

Looks like SHIELD and Fury are placed on the lam and it's apparent that many moles and spies will be revealed in this film. I like the resistance and cynicism that Rogers shows to Fury, who seemed to show similar insubordination to his powers-that-be. Looks exactly like the setup that had Fury in the 616 using a team to raid on Dr. Doom - using fear and freedom as ends to a terrorist means, all in the name of the greater good. Clearly, Rogers and Fury run into a lot of differences in ideals with each other and with their cohorts at SHIELD. Maria Hill, will she become the 616 b-tch we know her to be?

The Ultimates Falcon looks remarkable but how amazing is this mysterious Bucky Barnes? I came up with the name BUCKYCAP on forums years ago and when I saw Bendis use it in Avengers #3 in 2012 (not saying he stole it), I knew just why Bucky remained my favorite Cap and Marvel character - his past ordeals and his moral compass, or lack thereof, make him human. Seb Stan failed in the first film, which I hated, but this seems more grounded and gritty. The Winter Soldier looks tough as nails and the action sequences are remarkable but...there's THAT scene here that brings up a few theories from me.

Could Bucky die here after his redemption? Seeing Widow in tears could connect her past to him and maybe even tie in a Hawkeye angle but if they go the 616 and establish Natasha's past to him...I'd be stoked. Maybe this 'death' won't last allowing Bucky to go undercover for a spinoff with his clandestine parties such as Widow or Barton, or maybe allow him for a return in another sequel. But, could Fury bite the dust? God knows Widow will fake and cover for him...allowing him to go underground as per the Civil War. This allows him to link with Rogers when needed and also, allows that Secret War atmosphere when he decides to go rogue. Maybe he'll recruit Secret Avengers? Wait, maybe it's an LMD? Who knows right? But whether it's Bucky or Fury, it'll be a fake death and I can see a million epic possibilities coming forth which do the comics, so much justice.

Sound off!

I think is Falcon, because why the heck he wouldnt appear in Avnegers 2?! And it's imposible that he was in a other part of the world it would be ridicoulous since Avengers 2 is like completely global

I'm 100% sure that it's Fury. He apparently dies, but shows up later and communicates with Cap in secret to help him against the corrupt SHIELD. Also, Fury's line of "Looks like you're giving the orders now, Cap" could be one of the last lines of the movie that hints at Cap being the leader of the Avengers in Age of Ultron, as Fury will be staying away from the public.

I think the Fury's fake death is the best choice.
Tomcavs.
Maybe Falcon is injuried at the end or in a mission during Avengers 2, but I don't think they would kill a new character that quickly when they need new people for future movies.

Can we just skip February and March? Let's pretend that tomorrow is April 4th.

Cap was already the leader of the avengers in The Avengers so I think is a hint of Cap being the new leader of SHIELD with Fury in the shadows

Not a big surprise right?

If it was Bucky Cap would be the one in tears, not Natasha.

It's definitely Fury that "dies." But he comes back later on in the movie.

Nick Fury faking his death and then in the last shot of the movie revealing that he is alive would be badass.

I think it's Fury in that death bed scene. I have a feeling Winter Soldier will end up becoming an ally towards the end. I mean if they go the 616 route and "assassinate" Captain America in a future film, Bucky would have to replace him. And if they do kill off Fury, he better stay dead. None of this whole Coulson death bs.

It's gotta be either Black Widow, Cap, or Maria Hill under that sheet

Coulson was supposed to stay dead. It was the fans that started all the "Coulson lives" that make Marvel brought him back. It was a good choice? Depends on who you are

She was telling him what all the "Intel community" think. I don't think Widow would have a past with WS, there's no hints to that.

Fury faking his death would be classic nick fury. I mean he's alway mia in the comics.

I definitely wondered about the death, but it seems like, of the three people in that shot, Romanov is affected the most. I'd think Hill would be more emotive about Fury, despite their somewhat adversarial working relationship. Steve would be much more upset about Bucky, I'd think, than the other two, but he DID mourn the guy once already. The trailer at least portrays a tighter bond between Steve and Falcon than Natasha and Falcon.

So...wondering if it's someone that meant something to Natasha, that the other two in the room aren't as close to. OR...it's simply Fury and the other two are keeping it together.
