Do New Captain America TFA Toys Reveal Full Movie Costume?

Do New Captain America TFA Toys Reveal Full Movie Costume?

These shots from NYCC reveal our first look at the toyline for Marvel's Captain America movie..

Among them are Winter Soldier, US Agent, Cross-Bones and Captain Britain. Is that a hint that we could see some of these characters in the movie? I doubt it. These toy lines always get extra characters to beef up the numbers. Still, you never know. Anyway, there is also a new look Cap figure which could reveal or first glimpse at the final, full costume that will be sported by Chris Evans..

Apparently The Captain America movie line showed off several versions of Cap, including modern and WWII era costumes sporting deluxe weaponry, a paratrooper getup and even an armored car. So its unclear which, if any, will appear in the final cut of the film. But the one above, which seems to have a nice mix of modern and classic Cap costumes looks similar enough to the costume we already saw sported by Evan's stunt double, but y'know, better!

I think you can tell what the final costume is, based off of the packaging.

And it's this. http://www.aintitcool.com/images2009/capam4LARGEUSE.jpg

U.S. Agent's shield looks suspiciously like the disassembled shield from Iron Man 2. Hmm...

FoxKnox, that was the concept art that leaked ages ago. Marvel/Johnston have said since that the final costume will differ significantly from that.

They are awesome!!! Winter Soldier looks cool but I'll be picking up Captain Britain...now if only Marvel would give him his own movie. :P Good stuff ROR!

Oddly enough, I think the costume is going to look an awful lot like the one Chris Evans' stunt double was wearing during filing of 'Captain America: The First Avenger'. But this is obviously just a guess! I have no proof that we have already seen the costume. On this site. Ever. ;-)

Nope! I'm pretty sure that's just a toy version of ultimate Cap! The always have action figures based off the comics as well as the movie figures....

@Ror,

If it's gonna be so different why is that the picture that's on the toy boxes? And does this picture of Evans stunt man really differ THAT much?

the movie line will have a comic book line as well, just like the iron man 2 toys did. those figures are from the comic book line. it even says "comic series" on the sign near the figures on the first pic.

daniel, actually yes it does! Have a closer look.

Mania, check out the Thor toy line which is from the same movie series of figures. The Thor and Odin figures are dressed pretty much exactly like they were in the footage we saw. So while obviously there will be characters, costumes that won't be featuring in the movie, its a safe bet that there will be soem that will.

@Ror,

Yes, there are obviously some differences, but it's still the same overall design, just with minor adjustments.

And I recall hearing that Cap will have multiple costumes in the movie, but I don't get the feeling that that ultimate Cap toy is one of them. The costume Evans stuntman is wearing will be the primary Cap costume in the movie.

@Ror, where exactly have either said that? I know that he initially wears a crappy USO costume before switching to a more militant battle gear, but that suit in the concept art is clearly going to be said battle gear, going off of the set pictures of the motorcycle chase with Hydra. It's too functional to be a costume just for show.

I think this is simply a case of movie figures incorporating the comics into the line, ala TDK with Deathstroke and Firefly. None of these will probably make the movie.

I think these figures are going to be just like the x-man orgin figures. The packaging looks about the same except with Cap instead of Wolvie. Now just to point out to everyone. Go back and look at the orgin toys. they release one that was pretty much what jackman wore the entire movie, but then they released one with him in his brown and yellow suit, one in a ninja suit I think, And one more. They also released a barakapool figure and a reg deadpool figure. and a comic version of Sabertooth.

So My question is did anyone see the deadpool costume in the orgin movie? Or wolverines yellow and brown? I think or Sabertooth? No, But that doesn't stop Marvel from pumping out characters dressed in different costumes.

I'm almost willing to bet that the Captain America costume we've seen on the stunt guy is pretty close to the same costume we're going to see in the whole movie. Hell it might even be the only costume we see in all the movies. But none the less I'm pretty sure the one we've seen is the one we're stuck with....

much like how the Iron Man 2 figures had a "comic book series", based on the comics, so does the Cap series... Not only is this figure from the Comic Series of figures, but it's listed as the "Ultimate Captain America" on another website that has coverage of the convention...

Surely the stunt double actually wearing the costume was enough proof as to the costume in the film? That one you mention is the Ultimate version.
