CAPTAIN MARVEL: Samuel L. Jackson Reveals How He Found Out About Nick Fury's Return

We have a long list of reasons to be excited for Captain Marvel. The 90s setting makes it unlike pretty much any other Marvel Studios movie and the fact that it places Carol Danvers in the midst of the Kree/Skrull War is nothing short of amazing. Nick Fury's appearance also promises to be exciting, especially as it sounds like we should expect to find out how he lost that eye of his in the first place.

In a new interview, though, Jackson revealed that he learned about his role in Captain Marvel the same way as the rest of us; online! He then went on to reveal how two eyes
is going to help him here.

"It will be easier to learn my lines," he explains in the video below. "It’s one of those weird things I figured out. The first day I shot as Nick Fury, with one eye, I couldn’t remember my lines. I was tired because we were coming from somewhere and I thought it was fatigue, and I realized I learned my lines with two eyes so I started blocking my eye … it’s a stupid kind of thing, but it totally works."

Who would have expected that? With Captain Marvel not set to be released until March 2019, it's going to be a while before we see anything more from this one but it's shaping up to be something special! What do you guys think? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

@blvdnoise - I really think he could be the undercover Skrull. It'd make sense, they could 'mysteriously' swap him out in this movie. And the fact they he survived winter solider, which would've probably killed him if he was just a human.

Reynolds and Jackson look like they have great chemistry. I don't know why, just seeing them together looks perfect.

Wonder if they're gonna use makeup or CG to age him down. Probably some combo of both.

This could be the most extensive use of the tech that Marvel has ever done.

I feel like this movie is a really good choice for a gateway to the next chapter of MARVEL. With obviously introducing Cap Marvel but with a sprinkle of Fury(to give us that good feel that it's all connected) and the Skrulls invited to the party, the MARVEL train just keeps on a movin.
