Like most MCU movies, Captain Marvel features both mid and post-credits scenes, but only one is relevant to the plot.
Fans were wondering if Carol Danvers' first big-screen outing would tie-in to Avengers: Endgame at all, and while the movie itself doesn't really set up any major threads, the mid-credits stinger most certainly does.
At one point in the film, Carol Danvers confiscates Nick Fury's pager after he uses it to call for some unwanted backup, and returns it to him at the end - with some major upgrades! This is what Fury uses to contact Carol at the end of Infinity War before turning to dust, and we find four of the surviving Avengers - Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanov, James Rhodes and Bruce Banner - studying it in an attempt to figure out what happened to him and billions of others.
Widow tells Banner to resend the signal, before turning around and coming face-to-face with Captain Marvel! Danvers says only two words: "Where's Fury?"
Where has she been? Why hasn't she aged? How come nobody heard her entering the room? All questions that will have to wait until April 26, it seems.
The post-credits scene is just Goose coughing up The Tesseract on Fury's desk. It's pointless, but very funny!
