Sounds Like We Might See A MS. MARVEL TV Series At Some Point

Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel is set to make her big screen debut in 2019, but what of the character that took over her former mantle of Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan? Marvel's head of television Jeph Loeb seems to think there's a decent chance she'll make it to the small screen someday...

Kamala Khan, AKA the new Ms. Marvel, has become quite a fan-favorite since her introduction back in 2013, but with the Captain Marvel movie coming in a few years, the shape-shifting member of the All-New, All-Different Avengers is probably one of the last Marvel characters anyone expected to be given the live-action treatment.

But given the current climate, a Muslim Pakistani American superhero would be a very welcome addition to our TV screens - and with that in mind UK E! Online put the question to Jeph Loeb at the Jessica Jones premiere. "Look, that's a character that has tremendous popularity and when that happens you know that I'm always looking around to see what we can do," the head of Marvel Television told the site when asked if Ms. Marvel could be heading to TV anytime soon. "We love the character, and one never knows."

Now obviously that's far from confirmation that something is actually in the works, but it's good to know that the character at least seems to be on Loeb's radar. Would you like to see a Ms. Marvel TV series at some point? Sound of below.

Donald Trump said that when Jersey City heard about the potential for a Ms. Marvel series, he saw video tapes of thousands cheering. Wait... I'm pretty sure my Google Alerts are screwed up...

Yo, can we get the Captain Marvel film first before we start adding characters that have taken up the mantle?

I think this shouldn't happen until after Capt Marvel is in a few movies.

Captain Marvel first. I'm pretty sure Disney will put a halt on this until she is well established.

Remember when they had a vote for killing off Robin in the comics?
What do we have to do to get that to happen to Kamala Khan?
This Ms.Marvel BLOWS!
So over Marvel trying to be NEW and fit in with cultural standpoints and mixing up everything by throwing someone with a minority status at it.

Kamala Khan is dumb. Carol Danvers is a great character, Kamala Khan is Marvel trying to have more minority characters.

Can we stop this nonsense and come back to Carol Danvers?
I understand that PC is important, but I just can't forget this:

Also, I think Kamala deserve her own superhero name, preferentially related with her habilities.

I'd be down for this, but it should come after Captain Marvel, so the show can retain the fangirl nature of her character.

She's a great character.
Proof of that are the Trools and racist she's bring
out on this forum.

Her first issue wasn't anything special but she's grown into a character I've come to quite like.

A show about her wouldn't be off base.

I'm pretty sure everyone is expecting a live action Ms. Marvel, it's been brought up in questions multiple times. It's only a matter of time. Which makes sense because she has a fantastic series.

I love my comic book series but Geesh, at some point it has to stop. From both properties. Or at least wait till one run ends before starting the next. I still need to have a social life darn it.

People talking about Kamala being a minority make it sound like there's something wrong with it. Carol is Captain Marvel now, someone had to take up the mantle, it just so happened to be a Muslim American teenager. No, it doesn't make you a SJW to like characters like Kamala or Miles, people toss that word around too much.

I like Carol having the title of Captain Marvel rather than Ms. Marvel. Kamala being the new Ms. Marvel in the comics makes sense since she's a fangirl. Paying tribute to a hero she idolizes fits with her identity. Carol's original identity as Ms. Marvel is in itself a tribute of sorts to the original Captain Marvel. I wonder if those of you who are whining about Kamala taking up the Ms. Marvel mantle have any issues with the non-Jay Garrick Flashes, the non-Dick Grayson Robins, etc.

I's like to see that! I like her fangirlism and her powers are pretty cool (even it's not totally new). But of course Captain Marvel must been established before.

She's a New Inhuman so she should get her powers from fish oil and let agents of shield debut a character with name recognition for once.

even though it's name recognition we associate with a different character. just like when we didn't even get the famous deathlock in season 1.
