THE MARVELS Clip Features Crazy Location-Swapping Shenanigans As Captain Marvel And Ms. Marvel Battle The Kree

It feels like there's a lot of negativity surrounding The Marvels at the moment, including claims it will be a box office flop when it opens a couple of weeks from now.

Today, a new clip from the Captain Marvel sequel has been released which is arguably better than anything shown in the movie's trailers. As Carol Danvers and Ms. Marvel repeatedly swap places, we see the sort of unique visuals filmmaker Nia DaCosta is bringing to the table for what's shaping up to be a brief, but thoroughly bonkers, adventure.

The action we see here is a blast to watch unfold, with the two heroes taking the fight to various platoons of Kree soldiers both on Earth - in the Khan household - and across the cosmos.

Earlier this year, The Marvels executive producer Mary Livanos pointed out that the idea of location swapping harkens back to early Captain Marvel comic books, where Mar-Vell (the original Captain Marvel) and human Rick Jones would swap places using magical Kree bracelets called Nega-Bands. Those are expected to take centre stage in this movie, with Kamala Khan wielding one and the villainous Dar-Benn in possession of the other.

"The biggest challenge was finding the balance between my point of view as a director and as a comic book nerd," DaCosta has said of her approach to this movie. "Obviously, there are changes between the comics and the movies, and sometimes I'm like, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa!' Sometimes Kevin [Feige] would be like, 'You're being too much of a nerd. Please stop.'"

Check out this new clip from The Marvels in the Tweet/X below.

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.

When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."

The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.

The Marvels is currently set to arrive in theaters on November 10.
