Not too long ago, the first photos from the set of Captain Marvel popped up online and they got fans talking...for all the wrong reasons? The response to the costume was mixed (despite the fact past experience tells us it will look considerably better on screen) and the fact Brie Larson's Carol Danvers was in a green suit generated a lot of confusion. Now, Kevin Feige has weighed in on the matter!
"If you want to film out in public — and Captain Marvel has a lot of scenes that will be shot on location — it’s gonna happen. Everything is filmed [by paparazzi] nowadays, so years ago, we decided, ‘If it’s gonna happen, let it happen.’ Most people are savvy enough to know they’re looking at a behind-the-scenes photo, completely out of context. So we don’t do things like rush photos."
That confirms we won't be seeing an official image of Captain Marvel for a while then but what's the deal with that new colour scheme? Feige was asked exactly that and confirmed fan theories that the hero is testing her powers and wearing a suit which is a prototype which will later be replaced.
"We released some concept art of her with different colors," he teased. "People online have correctly identified what’s going on there." What do you guys think of these comments? Sound off below!
