In DC's Batman Annual #1, released today, Mr. Freeze has had two major revisions to his back story. The first is that instead of Heartless Gothcorp CEO Ferris Boyle shutting down Fries' operation it is none other than Millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne! The second is surely the most controversial and shocking. It is revealed that Nora Fries is....

...actually not even Freeze's wife! it was revealed that Dr Fries is even more psychotic than before, murdering his mother in a frozen pond years after she was left mentally scarred after almost dying in the same frozen pond Freeze pushed her in years later. After that he was even more obsessed with ice and while working at the cryogenics division at Wayne Enterprises he found a woman named Nora who had been frozen since the 60s. This is only the abridged version of the story and I do implore you to go out and buy this annual. Although it is near sacrilege to some it is so well written it seems like the perfect fit for the character. What do you think of these changes? Sound off in the comments below.
