Carnage was ripped apart by the Sentry five years ago. Now he's back in this new series. So, the question is, does this series bring back Carnage with style? Read on.

I've only recently read Maximum Carnage. And that's a good thing too, because this first issue has a lot of moments that only people that read Maximum Carnage would know about. The Doppelganger, Shriek, and some other things make this issue very interesting. It almost serves as a sequel to Maximum Carnage.

Now, the question is still: Is this a good or bad comic? I will say it. It's a very good issue and an excellent way to start out this series.

The pacing is excellent, the dialogue is good, and the action is fast-paced.

For those that have read the Venom vs. Carnage mini-series awhile back, you should feel right at home with the art. It's very realistic, and this is the best drawn Iron Man I've ever seen. The sleekness and metal feel is uncanny. In other words, the art is good.

There is this really awesome two-page scene that tributes Maximum Carnage. It's really cool.

In closing, this comic is a very good one. Can't wait for the next part. (Hopefully Anti-Venom gets some screen-time in this series.)

I give this issue a 4/5. Part two will be out in two months.
