CONSTANTINE Sequel In The Works According To One Of The Movie's Stars

Thanks to John Wick, Keanu Reeves has made a major comeback in recent years, and the demand for a Constantine sequel persists. Now, one of the movie's stars appears to confirm a sequel is happening...

Over the past few years, Keanu Reeves has regained his status as a Hollywood A-Lister. His resurgence started with the John Wick franchise, and while rumours about some sort of superhero move role continue to persist, we've yet to see the actor join the Marvel or DC Universes.

Of course, Reeves did play the title character in 2005's Constantine, and there have been rumblings for a while now about a sequel. It seems somewhat unlikely when that first movie wasn't exactly a massive hit, and it's no secret that Warner Bros. has other plans for the character on HBO Max (as part of the Justice League Dark series J.J. Abrams is overseeing for the studio).

Peter Stormare, who played Lucifer in Constantine, has shared a photo with the caption, "Sequel In The Works." Does he know something we don't about a follow-up to the original movie?

Earlier this year, producer Akiva Goldsman revealed during a Comic-Con@Home panel that a sequel would have seen Constantine interacting with Jesus in a prison setting, and that everyone involved is keen to return. Whether they're now getting that opportunity is hard to say.

not sure about this one .. i mean keanu is very popular right now so every movie he ever made is getting a sequel even 47 ronin but with the bad robot deal , the JLA Dark and the constantine solo series at hbo max , really doubt it ,then again its the wb so who Tf knows.would be nice to have him back tho like in a more comic accurate JC and maybe connect it the dceu (from far ) or something

Keanu Reeves, Shia LaBoeuf, Rachel Waisz, Tilda Swinton, Peter Stormare, Djimon Hounsou - the cast kills everythingif they all want to come back.

I really want Shia to be back.

Didn’t give a shit about this film, and Keanu was a bad Constantine. Feel like there’s so many roles he’s better suited for like Silver Surfer or Johnny Blaze.
Hope we get a rebooted Constantine in JL Dark. Hopefully Constantine’s in Sandman too... hopefully

Never hated Keanu's Constantine as many others had but will admit it could have been better in a lot of ways. The cast itself was great up and down the line although yeah Keanu was not the comic book accurate character. Still I wouldn't hate a sequel as long as the material was really a lot stronger this time around.

I can very well see the sequel be in comic book form. Doubt it'll be a movie

The first one was a really fun movie, just not a great Constantine adaptation. I'd be down for a sequel.
