Over the past few years, Keanu Reeves has regained his status as a Hollywood A-Lister. His resurgence started with the John Wick franchise, and while rumours about some sort of superhero move role continue to persist, we've yet to see the actor join the Marvel or DC Universes.
Of course, Reeves did play the title character in 2005's Constantine, and there have been rumblings for a while now about a sequel. It seems somewhat unlikely when that first movie wasn't exactly a massive hit, and it's no secret that Warner Bros. has other plans for the character on HBO Max (as part of the Justice League Dark series J.J. Abrams is overseeing for the studio).
Peter Stormare, who played Lucifer in Constantine, has shared a photo with the caption, "Sequel In The Works." Does he know something we don't about a follow-up to the original movie?
Earlier this year, producer Akiva Goldsman revealed during a Comic-Con@Home panel that a sequel would have seen Constantine interacting with Jesus in a prison setting, and that everyone involved is keen to return. Whether they're now getting that opportunity is hard to say.
