Conan 3D And Clash Of The Titans 2 Both Get New(ish) Titles!

Well, Conan 3D has actually gone back to it's original title and Clash of the Titans star Liam Neeson has confirmed the name of the sequel! Hit the jump for more...

Firstly, Lionsgate has changed "Conan 3D" back to its original title, Conan the Barbarian. Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Ron Perlman, Said Taghmaoui and Rose McGowan star in the Marcus Nispel directed film. Scheduled for a release on August 19, 2011, the film is based on Robert E. Howard's mythical conqueror, who was previously played by Arnold Schwarzenegger on the big screen.

Secondly, Liam Neeson has confirmed that the Clash of the Titans sequel will indeed be called Wrath of the Titans. He also revealed the slightly worrying news that the movie is currently going through a TENTH draft, and that shooting will kick off next year. He also added that the Jonathan Liebesman (who takes over from Incredible Hulk director Louis Letterier) helmed film will feature, "some kick-ass stuff and a very human story to it."

although clash of the titans wasnt exactly great it was still enjoyable, so i'll definitely check the 2nd one out when it comes out and nice find joshW

Clash was one of the worst films I have ever sat through..no exaggeration. With a diff director I might give a sequel a chance, I dunno though. Worthington is a plank. I am funnily enough looking forward to seeing what Conan has to offer. That R rating is very promising.

Agree Ibz. The extended edition i 1080p was actually really enjoyable. To bad Mads Mickelson won't be in the sequel, he was a big bonus in the first one.

CLASH OF THE TITANS ORIGINAL WAS EPIC, THE STORY WAS AWSOME AND WAS A WELL PUT TOGETHER MOVIE THAT INSPIRED ALOT OF BIG NAME DIRECTORS OF TODAY. THE NEWER CLASH WAS JUST ONE DIRECTORS FUN ROMP AT SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AS EPIC..THE STORY DID'NT DO ALOT FOR ME AT ALL. ANTICIPATING CONAN THOUGH, BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH CONAN WAS THE ISH BACK IN THE DAY, THE HOWARD VERSION WILL ROCK, A BIT MORE ACCEPTABLE CHANGES AS OPPOSED TO CLASH'S "LET'S MAKE IT ACTION-Y, POUR IN ALOT OF CGI, AND CHANGE THE STORY UP FROM THE EPIC OLD SCHOOL ONE"

Ror@ Totally agree! Worthington thou is not that bad, but definitely Clash of the Titans role wasnt made for him! In that he sucked big time!

High hopes for Conan, but that cast doesnt make me very excided!:/... Specially Rose McGowan and Bob Sapp!

P.S. I'm glad they changed CONAN 3D, coz that sounded like CONAN SUCKS lol.

Hopefully it wont, a lots riding on MOMOA and co!

CONAN THE KING sounds better though, pity he ain't King yet again lol.

Clash of the Titans was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in the theater. It had absolutely no story or flow to it. I would throw it in the same bucket as The Last Airbender. I am looking forward to Conan but I don't have high expectations for it but I have been wrong before.

Clash of the Titans was...okay. I'll admit, it was cool. I met a Mexican guy in Wal-Mart that also said to me,
"Man...that movie was so cool"

It was bad, but it was good. Personally, I give it a 3/5. I mean...I liked it. One thing I wanna know though:

WTF is a Titan, and where are they in the movie?
I never saw any of the titans I saw in Hercules in Clash of the 'Titans'

clash of the titans had all ingredients it needed to be great (minus worthington) but then Louis Letterier wrecked it. lets see how a different director will handle it. cant be much worse :S

Usually I bitch about everyone trashing something, but I couldn't agree more with most of you. Clash of the Titans was CRAP!!!! Like most movies, I 'enjoyed' some of it, but I was very disappointed.

@destroyer - best movie of 2010?? Are you smoking crack? I sure hope that was sarcasm. I believe Inception takes that crown. COTT will be getting votes for worst movie and/or biggest disappointment of the century!!!

Lee, at least the last 2 X movies made some type of sense! The story was...a story! Clash jumped about like it was written and edited by a ADD affected chimp, and it WAS directed by one.

Cannot wait for the Conan flick. I was very dissapointed in the new Clash of the Titans. All they had to do is stick with the same story, just add better cgi and fight scenes. But no, they ruined it. The film was rushed and not enough action to make up for the lack of character development.

Clash of the Titans is one of the only films I've fallen asleep during. Bad directing, bad acting, and a horrible lead all add up to one pretty horrible film.

Had a good score, though (still bummed Djawadi didn't do the score for Iron Man 2).

Conan looks good, though. I'm kinda getting a Punisher: War Zone vibe, but hopefully it won't get that campy/violent. I'm just glad someone finally had the guts to do one without Arnold.

I hope we'll be suprised by Momoa acting... I remember the critics of Gouvernator (his potential acing) before conan release....

Perhaps he is the new CONAN... like downey with IRON MAn, for me HE IS IRON MAN...

I thought the first remake was alright. It wasn't as good as the trailer led audiences to believe, but I thought it was still worth a ticket. I did feel the ending was kind of rushed. From the moment he left Medusa's lair, it was like someone pressed the fast forward button. Any dang way, hopefully the second one will live up to it's name and hopefully Conan will be awesome.
