With more details expected this weekend at the New York Comic Con, DC have released the following teaser poster that gives us our first look at how the series will be animated. Unfortunately, it's not very big and I'll update the article with a better version if/when one becomes available.

The image is apparently from a poster that will be given away at the NYCC this weekend. Executive producer Bruce Timm, producer Giancarlo Volpe and producer/story editor Jim Krieg will be signing the poster at the DC Comics booth from 4 - 5 pm on Saturday.

The live-action adaptation of Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, with Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Blake Lively, Tim Robbins, Jon Tenney and Angela Bassett will be released in theaters on June 17, 2011! A direct-to-DVD film will also be released that month to coincide with the movie.

The Green Lantern: The Animated Series panel will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 2:30-3:30pm in Room 1A14 at New York Comic Con.

I think the poster looks great! I have very little interest in animated series' but this looks excellent IMO. It'll be interesting to get a trailer giving us a proper look at the shows style though because I wouldnt really be that interested if it's too cartoony.

Wolvie: Read and replied! :)

ngachacha: Larfleeze is an awesome character and would be a fantastic addition to this show. Apparently the series has no connection to the movie so they'll be able to introduce whoever they want hopefully!

SynisterUrge: Thanks man - should be a good weekend for news! (although I'm not sure whether or not Marvel/DC are doing any sort of movie presentations)

LEE: Lol, just luck I guess! :P And keep on pimiping bud - love that cast.

DeadpoolDan: I also recently started reading Green Lantern and would advise that you do the same as I did and start right at the beginning of Geoff Johns run! Here's the checklist of graphic novels. (in reading order)

*Rebirth
*No Fear
*Revenge of the Green Lantern
*Wanted
*The Sinestro Corps War Vol. 1
*The Sinestro Corps War Vol. 2
*Secret Origin
*Rage of the Red Lanterns
*Agent Orange
*Blackest Night
*Green Lantern: Blackest Night

I'd love a return and cameos of some of the Justice League characters!

I guess that answers the question as to whether or not it'll be the same style as BTAS and STAS.

It'll nice to see the old syle from JLU but i was kind of hoping for an updated version where they look alil better. I like the style that they're using for the young justice series.

It's to simplistic, plain and blocky looking.
