Possible First Look At The GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Animated Series

During the recent Licensing Expo, attendees spotted what looks to be a poster featuring the current animated series for Marvel Studios. The poster includes the current Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-man shows, as well as what could be our first look at the animated Guardians of The Galaxy series that has been rumoured to be in the works from  Marvel Animation.

A Guardians of The galaxy animated series has been heavily rumored lately from various sites, including our beloved CBM.

As seen on the poster above, the guardians look very reminiscent of their movie appearance, unlike the look they sported when they guest starred in the Avenegers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-man shows.

Absent from the poster is the Hulk and the Agents of SMASH series, which is currently airing its last episodes of the first season. Could the absence of the show mean that it will not be renewed for a second season?

Marvel should have got their sh@t together and had this ready for release before the movie to build up expectation within the GA.

Currently Marvels animated shows are some of the worst ever produced.
Not so much the animation but the terrible stories / dialogue.

It used to be the comics were the best, then the toons, lastly movies.
Now it's the movies are the best, the comics...toons suck.

ManCalledSting - Are you trying to jinx it?! Hopefully it's a good series, but at this point I'm pessimistic about Marvel cartoons.

Avengers: EMH... the last good Marvel animation.

All of this is utter dogshit.

Ugh. [frick] you Marvel. If this was a 90s style cartoon show (i.e. Spider-Man TAS and X-Men TAS) I would be ecstatic, but I hate all these new crappy kiddy shows, and they are just going to ruin another property by making it more kid-accessible to sell more toys. I don't understand exactly why they feel the need to pamper that audience. When I was a kid, I was watching cartoons that were a lot more adult-accessible and I still made my parents buy toys, and I can STILL watch those shows and enjoy them today.

I hope they make it... you know, GOOD. And not awful like every other animated Marvel show currently on air.

I just bought the entire DCAU on DVD, and I'm currently about half way through Batman:TAS, and now I know what good animation is like.

I think that's a fantastic idea to introduce the GOTG mythos to the youth.

Hopefully GOTG will be like EMH.

I need you grown ass men to reaccess your life at the point that you're complaining about cartoons being made for children rather than adults. There is nothing wrong with us as adults enjoying cartoons and to support them cause I do but don't get pisses because they decide that actually making cartoons for the target audience is more profitable than making them for us.

I hear the "It's for kids", but when I was a kid I was watching X-Men and Batman Animated series. Even Superman had a more adult tone. So, I kind of have to disagree with the "it's for kids". I wouldn't be the well adjusted arsonist I am today without those awesome stories.

@Coulsonlives. I wish they would have continued Wolverine and the X-Men story line in to AOA with how it ended. That show was an excellent example of your "not exact source material" rocking an original story.

The kid loves the humor and some of the action is pretty decent

I enjoyed the Agent Venom episode that came on last week

They are the perfect characters for an animated series. I'd love to see them with their own show. Rich mythology, great VILLIANS, humor and action. The characters are interesting and I like how star lord has adopted the look he has in the MCU. It can't suck like ultimate spiderman. I want it to be like avengers earths mightiest heroes and spectauar spiderman
