Chris Pratt Confirms GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Begins Filming Next Year - Possible SPOILERS

While wishing co-star Pom Klementieff a Happy Birthday, Chris Pratt also revealed when GOTG Vol. 3 is expected to begin filming and may have also inadvertently spoiled a key plot point from Infinity War.

With only three films remaining before Phase 3 comes to a close, eager eyes have already started looking ahead to the mysterious Phase 4 and while we don't have many details just yet, we do know that the Untitled Spider-Man Sequel and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be two of the early entries as Marvel Studios enters its next chapter.

The Homecoming sequel has already been dated for July 5, 2019, so even before walking into Avengers: Infinity War, we already knew that, despite whatever happened, Tom Holland would still ultimately suit up again next summer. As for how Marvel plans to pull that off after sending him and half of the universe into oblivion, that remains to be seen. However, while Spidey's fate, even after his untimely demise, remains somewhat certain, the fates of half of the rest of the universe is still very much up in the air. However, thanks to Chris Pratt, we may have an inkling on at least two of the characters that we'll definitely see again.

To send his best to co-star Pom Klementieff on her birthday, Pratt shared a sweet message, which also revealed that both he and Klementieff will begin shooting Vol. 3 sometime next year. "Happy Birthday @pom.klementieff whom many of you know as Mantis!!! She’s such a unique, talented and driven artist. Can’t wait to start shooting Guardians Vol. 3 with her next year! Hope you’re having a good day Pom!" While not explicitly stated, his message does also essentially confirm that the deaths of Star-Lord, Mantis, and presumably all of the Marvel heroes may not be as permanent as the Avengers 4 writers would have us believe.

A release date hasn't been confirmed, but director James Gunn has more or less said that Guardians Vol. 3 would arrive in theaters sometime in 2020 and if we were to wager a guess, it will likely occupy that vacant May 1, 2020 date that the studio has already booked, although Gunn did recently deny a similar claim, so other options include July 31,
2020 or November 6, 2020.

Ok at first I was in denial that they would leave Gamora dead like that for Vol 3, but you know I’ve come to accept it if it does indeed come to that. What better way to bring the guardians closer than with tragedy.
