Now that Smallville is over, it looks like the CW are invested in keeping their other big show going for as long as possible, much to the delight of fans. At the Television Critics Association press tour yesterday, the president of the network was asked whether the upcoming seventh season is set to be the final one for the series. (the show was originally thought to be coming to an end after the fifth season wrapped up) Here is an excerpt from IGN TV's report.

"It is not intended to be the last season. We'll see where the ratings go." Pedowitz then added that neither he personally nor the network as a whole wanted it to end next year, remarking, "We hope that the show keeps on going." Asked what he felt accounted for the success of the show, Pedowitz replied, "The love of two brothers," saying he felt the audience had connected with the characters of Sam and Dean Winchester and remained invested in them.

Would you like to see the show continue, or have you had enough of Sam and Dean Winchester? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place! The seventh season of Supernatural will air on the CW this Fall!

I wouldn't put it completely beyond them to find a way to bring back a villain that the Winchesters thought to have been destroyed.

I've had discussions on future episodes that go on for hours. I hope they bring the character "Hell" who owns the dominion of Hell, and she let's everyone loose on Earth taking back what Crowley and Lucifer has ruled over for centuries now. That would be a fitting end to see Castiel utilize all of the purgatory souls to "deliver us from evil" and let Sam and Dean "Carry Onward" with their normal day to day lives saving people and getting into trouble.

This is a great show, and I can honestly say that there hasn't been an episode that I've been disappointed with. Its been a great run all around, and I own several of the seasons. I wish Jeffrey Dean Morgan could've stuck around longer, but I'm glad they didn't replace him either. I also like to see the obscure paranormal creatures that the writers dig up. They've had some great ones beyond the typical monsters seen on movies and TV a hundred times over.

Supernatural is SUPERNATURAL! This show is awesome and the riveting emotion of all the characters, especially Sam and Dean, is what really has me coming back time and again.
Everytime I see those two, they remind me of myself and my own brothers. This show should definitely outlast Smallville! They deserve ten seasons . . . and more!

I say keep'en coming! They don't even have to get a new "Boss" like everyone is saying. With that civil war going down and all the demons running around, it's safe to think that the boys will face groups of demons and monsters that form alliances to take them out. Each group will have it's own leader. It's a simple formula that can go on and on. Just stick to what works. Let Sam kick more ass and Dean be...Dean!

This show has great writing, variety, and it knows what the fans want. I hope it goes on for a while. I hope Jeff Dean Morgan makes a flash back cameo this season as John Winchester.

Should have ended with Season Five. Everything since then has been a steady decline. While there have been individually good episodes, the metaplot sucks.
