Despite the fact that there's still over a month to go until the release of Ghostbusters, it feels like the vast majority have already decided they're going to hate it. While that first teaser was undeniably bad, subsequent sneak peeks have been considerably better, and that's definitely the case with this new international trailer featuring plenty of action-packed footage of the team in action together.

Directed by Paul Feig, this new movie will focus on Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), and Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), along with Chris Hemsworth (as the team’s secretary), Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, and Neil Casey as the reboot’s lead villain. Ghostbusters is currently set to be released on July 22nd, so stay tuned.

This movie is a recipe for disaster

Simply because if you don't like it, you're "sexist" but if you do like it than you "have bad taste". If the movie bombs it's because America as a whole hates women, if it does exceedingly well, we'll never hear the end of how everything needs a girl version

@Mick808 - like i said, there is something wrong if you preemptively hate a film because of the idea of it being redone. Hate the trailers, but judge the actual film

@Mick808 - Looks like more fun than Apocalypse or TMNT did to me, but I like most of Paul Feig's movies so I'm expecting to like this. I wasn't on-board with them rebooting Ghostbusters until they confirmed the original cast's involvement though since there was no reason not to bring them in besides money.

@CapnSquintyEyes - you are the first person, on all of the Internet, that I've seen who actually wants this.

Good for you! Not gonna put you down everyone has their own taste. I'm just surprised.

@ALostCause - hey, I'm another one too! Haha there's hardly any people who seem to be wanting this film but honestly I think people are taking it way too seriously. It looks like a good fun movie and that's all it's meant to be!

@FamousMonster1931 - i dont find girls to be funny, any of them, and i think ghostbusters only works in an 80's setting.

so you can bet im not seeing it! but to each their own.

@ALostCause - Sounds like you spend all your time in the trenches of geekdom. I like it here, but it's nice to come up for air once in a while to get some perspective. Ghostbusters is primarily a genre-skewering, innuendo-heavy comedy and Feig is one of the best at that, it just makes sense to me.

Still, I think they could have done better in terms of incorporating the original cast and setting it up as an actual sequel. My thought was the original team gets possessed and Dana has to build a new team to save them, hence Lady Ghostbusters. But again, the fact that they're involved is enough.

@CapnSquintyEyes - I do spend my life entrenched by geekdom true.

Buttt I [frick]ing hate feig. I love buddy comedies, but for some reason I just can't laugh at a girls jokes.

I like your idea of the original cast being involved, but here's another idea.
Melissa McCarthy, Kristen wiig, a goofy black guy, and a goofy white guy.

Boom we just fixed every problem with the movie.

I'm glad I'm not even a ghostbusters fan, or this shit might possibly make me commit suicide lolz

Cast being involved on screen*

@ALostCause - That's fair, it's a subjective genre, which is why big comedy hits are few and far between.

I'm not big on Melissa McCarthy, but I think Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon are hysterical. Leslie Jones.... meh.

@dannramm113 - No I do not.

I hate this movie for the simple fact of the second after Ramis died, Sony decided to do a reboot which is distasteful considering the amount of years he tried to do a Ghostbusters 3.

Lack of professionalism by Sony.

DannRamm113 - 6/6/2016, 8:34 PM
@LEVITIKUZ - not really, this film was in preproduction before Ramis passed. Hell, he probably had a little bit of input on ideas. Doing a remake after someone dies is not disrespectful or unprofessional. Its just not halting the world

TMNT: Out of the Shadows should be getting a lot of the hate this movie is getting. That movie was AWFUL! So letdown by it. This movie looks just as bad if not worse which I don't know how that's even possible...
