Thor Cameo in Iron Man 2?

Is that Chris Hemsworth as Thor in this Iron Man 2 featurette or just wishful thinking?

Italian movie site BadTaste just ran an article speculating on whether a prisoner glimpsed in the recently released French Iron Man 2 featurette is actually Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

Personally, I don't see it. I mean, sure, the guy has a beard and vaguely Hemsworth's hairstyle, but he doesn't look very tall or muscular. Plus, why would he be in prison in the first place?





However, the clip is strange for one reason: The camera pauses on the scene for a split second after Robert Downey, Jr. walks out of frame. A good filmmaker never, ever wastes even a second of screentime on something unimportant or trivial, so this character or this scene must be important for some reason. But, Thor? It doesn't smell right to me. It sounds very much like the search for Steve Rogers' picture in The Incredible Hulk that had people going crazy for months...

Watch it be Hawkeye or something random like that lol. It'd be random in an Iron Man movie, since we aren't expecting a cameo from somebody like that. For some reason, in the blurred pics, the guy that comes to mind in my head first is Josh Holloway and I don't know why. Must be the way the hair curves out in layers and the scruff. Not saying it IS, just that's what popped into my head when I looked closely at these pictures.

it is VERY odd they'd focus on a 'nobody' in a cell as Tony's passing. as Captain America's shield was an easter egg in Iron Man, Thor's appearance in a jail-cell could very well be an easter egg in Iron Man II; nice catch if it's so Brent!!! the guy does seem quite tall, too.

His hair looks layered which pretty much rules out that first dude in MarvelFreshman's pictures. That guy has long THIN hair, people that look like Fabio aren't gonna layer their hair all Josh Holloway from Lost style. 2nd guy is obviously pretty big, and has muscles, which rules him out right there, since the guy in the blurred pics looks average-ish.

@Kes: Thor in France isn't a stretch. Thor's a European character and Europe is pretty small (compared to the States or Australia, for instance).

@Brent: guess I've been so desperate for some Cap casting news that all I've been paying attention to are the articles in lieu of the comments. Oblivious to this Draper you speak of. I've been a bit of a "mountain man" for the past few months... not writing articles or reading/writing comments anymore; just been hearing voices and eating cold beans while waiting for the afore mentioned casting news.

as far as it being thor..dout it...but remember..4 all the ppl that r sayin he is jacked now so it couldnt be him...this scene was prolly shot months ago!

Doesn't look like him but Brent is spot on about the lingering shot..simply does not happen without a reason. Maybe he was in an earlier scene or something but you never know...If not Thor, some other comic character perhaps?

THOSE THAT ARE SAYING HE ISN'T BIG ENOUGH, HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WHEN THIS PART OF THE FILM WILL HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN SHOT PROBABLY AROUND THE TIME HEMSWORTH WAS CAST SO IF HE HADN'T BULKED UP ALREADY THAT IS THE REASON WHY HE DOES'NT LOOK THAT BIG. IT IS PROBABLY MARVEL'S WAY OF THROWING SOMETHING IN FOR US FANBOY'S AS ITS NOT A GREAT SHOT OF HIM THEY PROBABLY THOUGHT THEY COULD GET AWAY WITH IT. THEN HE GOES AWAY AND BULKS UP FOR THOR, PLUS WHAT DO YOU GUY'S THINK HE IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE I WOULD IMAGINE SOMETHING LIKE HJ IN X MEN ORIGINS HE IS NEVER GOING TO BULK UP TO BODYBUILDER SIZE IN 6 MONTHS OF TRAINING.
