For the layman, I would agree with you that Bruce's dual identity wouldn't be easily figured out - but -- to someone like Lex Luthor with all the resources of his company, he could easily deduce it by knowing about Bruce's parents deaths, Bruce's build, his early disappearance for almost ten years and then Batman's appearance soon after his return to Gotham in the early years.

Especially the tech Batman uses could be led back to Wayne Enterprises as well.

A few years ago, Grant Morrison in "Batman Unlimited" did have Bruce Wayne hold a press conference to say that he funds Batman. Also, Wayne has purposely laid many fake clues to indicate he is not Batman. Including sightings of the two of them together. So, it's not that obvious to investigators.

This is really cool. Both Lex and Bruce are extremely intelligent so it is going to be hard for Bruce to convince Lex that he isn't Batman and it is going to he hard for Lex to convince Bruce that he is.

One of the worst artists in the history of comic books: Dough "grinding-teeth" Mahnke. UGH New fifty-Poo keeps getting worse and worse.

Bats secret identity is easier to figure out - why?

Who else in Gotham city can afford all those gadgets, who else fits the profile of a young,Gotham, city billionaire with the build to go out fighting crime?

It's just takes some basic reasoning skills. Clark may have a seemingly simple disguise but if you master the art of changing mannerisms you can indeed appear to be a completely different person with only slight changes to appearance.

I actually thought they pulled that off well at the end of MoS. In the closing scene with Clark at the Daily Planet he looked/seemed very different than when he was in the Supes suit, and even when he was just normal Clark/prior to the suit. He had a more frantic, and friendly, vibe to him. He smiled more, wore a different outfit than we'd seen him in. His hair was shaggier, etc...

It wouldn't be impossible to pull of the deception. I think for a guy as smart as Luthor narrowing down who COULD be Batman would be easy, and all signs would point to Bruce Wayne.

Luthor has always been a boring villain. And pulling crap like putting him in the league constantly exposing secret identities a d the overall bad writing of the New 52 justice League Books is the reason. I stopped reading Justice League.

All the New 52 Justice League books have ever done is pull one Stupid cash grabbing headline baiting plea for attention after another. Geoff Johns is better than this and he needs to start showing it again.

Lex doesn't want to believe that Superman is Clark Kent, it's nothing to do with his disguise.

Anyway, Bruce Wayne is Batman isn't he easiest thing to do deduce. His alibi is that Bruce Wayne is off partying with whores, that's why you don't see much of him, but why doesn't the cops ever do a follow up investigation?

Batman and Lex are not self made men.. they had kaboodle of inheritances.

Want self made men? Try Mr Terrific and Moon Knight over at Marvel.

I'm glad this is happening. It happened about 10 years ago after Bruce Wayne Fugitive, when Lex figured out his secret and manipulated him through Checkmate. But they never really handled the fallout or had the secret identity conversation.
At least DC is making this happen. Marvel is twiddling their thumbs with the Peter Parker/Flash Thompson conversation.

Bruce publicly admitted to financing Batman so him running around with all that gear wouldn't be enough on its own for Lex or anyone to deduce that he IS Batman.

Not a great fan of Mahnke's.

Let's go for the old Alfred-dressed-as-Batman trick for the cover up. That should do it.
