Today, Devin from Badass Digest posted a new article titled, "Who Is Star-Lord’s Father?" In it, Devin drops a small but juicy nugget regarding the DC Comics' cinematic universe. According to him fans will have to wait a long time to see Superman's most formidable foe, Darkseid, on the big screen.
"My sources tell me not to expect Darkseid in the DC movieverse until Justice League 2, so that means a Guardians 2 in 2017 would definitely have the Eternals beating the New Gods to big screens." - Devin
Darkseid first appeared in DC Comics'
Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #134 (November 1970). He was created by legendary comic book writer/artist
Jack Kirby. He's considered one of, if not the most powerful supervillain in DC Comics' universe. You probably know him as the big baddie that shoots beams of engery ("Omega Effect") from his eyes that zig and zag.
BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE - Zack Snyder will direct. It's written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. The film stars: Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The cast also includes: Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Will arrive in theaters May 6, 2016.
