As everyone around these parts knows, J.K. Simmons played J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's
Spider-Man before recently being cast as Commissioner Gordon in Zack Snyder's
Justice League. A guest on last night's
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the hilarious talk show host asked Simmons about the process of how someone goes from playing a Marvel character to a DC character.
"Can you legally do that? Cause you're also in the Marvel Universe as J. Jonah Jameson. Do you need a special passport to go from the Marvel Universe to the DC Universe?"
Justice League has already begun filming but according to Simmons, he won't arrive on set for a couple of months.
Willem Dafoe also recently joined Zack Snyder's Justice League in an undisclosed role. Say what you will about Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice, both films definitely secured a very talented and respected cast. Justice League certainly appears to be continuing that trend.
