Joel Silver Says Lobo Should Be In 3D

The movie is on the back burner but is still being worked on.

While out promoting Splice, Joel Silver brought up the status of our beloved intergalactic bounty hunter's adaptation to the big screen. Lobo has been pushed back due to the popularity of Sherlock Holmes but it is still being worked on.

"Guy [Ritchie]'s off it because Guy's working on 'Sherlock 2,' but I want to do 'Lobo,' too. That should also be a 3-D movie."

Silver was vague about any type of time table for the movie but did confirm earlier reports of screen tests being done.

"Hopefully we'll put [that] together one day. That's something I'm also excited about doing."

"We're working on the script now a little bit more. We learned a lot as we did a test — a very effective test that a guy did with us, but we're moving forward and I hope we can get that together."

DogsOfWar-The movies development is at a snail's pace but tidbits like these do hold out promise. I will say that Silver is one who prefers 3D movies be shot in 3D which seems, to me, the only way to go. Would you want to see Lobo in all its 3D glory or is that not all that important?
