GAME OF THRONES Alum Emilia Clarke Seems Interested In Joining The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington has landed a leading role in Marvel's Eternals, and it now sounds like Emilia Clarke is keen to join him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Read on for details...

Emilia Clarke has had mixed fortunes with her attempts to make the leap from television to the big screen; Solo: A Star Wars Story was plagued with behind the scenes issues which led to it underperforming, while Terminator Genisys was a total disaster (oh, and the less said about Last Christmas, the better).

Now, the actress is appearing on stage following the end of Game of Thrones on HBO, and she admitted during an interview with The Times that a Marvel Studios movie would be of interest.

"I want to do something absolutely stupid and silly, like, you know, The Avengers or whatever," she said, alluding to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Something where I got to have a giggle with mates." It doesn't sound like Clarke has really given this a lot of serious thought, but she's clearly looking to have an enjoyable time filming a blockbuster after some disappointing past experiences.

There are certainly a lot of characters the actress could play in the MCU, and it's hard not to wonder whether she could be referring to what fellow Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington is doing in Eternals when she talks about getting to "have a giggle with mates." Thus far, though, we've heard nothing about Clarke being eyed for roles in any comic book universe.

However, keep in mind that she was once reportedly cast in Iron Man 3, so she may have a history with Kevin Feige which could open the door to some sort of appearance down the line.

Who do you guys think Emilia Clarke could play in the MCU?

I get what she means, but calling the Avengers stupid isn't going to get her a role lol

@BlackBeltJones - One would think she had her fill of stupid and silly with GOT season 8.

@TheJustinHammer - Evans has the muscle mass, but Clarke has the eyebrow dexterity. It's a stalemate.

I've always wanted a good Thing/Alicia Masters story to be a part of an FF film. Not sure but maybe?

"stupid and silly"

All jokes aside, I've never really watched GOT and never dig her in the few roles I've seen her in (Solo seems to have stitched together entirely different performances of hers and I don't even recall the names of where I've seen her elsewhere) but she definitely seems to have chops, and can exude a lot of personality, especially in interviews. I'd be down for it, especially if they are able to use whatever her natural talents are

With another white wig, she could play Clea.

Says the box office poison star of Terminator Genisys and Solo.

@BillCipher - you're right, it wouldn't. But doesn't change the fact she's an avarege actress without a successful career outside of GoT. She's a walking box office flop.

@BillCipher - but that's just my opinion of course.
Bluesman

@Moriakum - I'm sure she'll improve her acting career in a few years. Tom Hanks didn't succeed in the early 80's until his big break film BIG. Same as Matthew McConaughy back 00's. She'll get there in time

I can see her as Betty Brant but with Sony involved, I don't know if that's possible

Feige is gonna jump on that. She thinks it’s stupid and silly & just wants to play with her friends.Great attitude to have looking for a gig.Thats what I put on my resume.
LongMayHeReign

I'm just saying.

@Desrow - Serious question, do we ever hear about actors showing interest in DC films?

I mean you could get a role in the MCU, but calling it stupid ain't gonna help sweetie.

Anyway, i can see her as a mutant, i don't know which but i believe she fits with the X-men.
