I say green arrow would win. He's the better character, was created first, and I'd also say the better archer. Sure, you'd think Hawkeye was better because of his cool arrows in the movie, but GA has that kind of stuff too.

yeah if you have seen Arrow, Green Arrow has alot of hes own gadgets, and he knows hes way around poisons. i would go for Green Arrow on this one

Green Arrow also has a costume that has successfully been adapted in live action twice. Hawkeye barely had a costume in Avengers. GA also got to nail The Huntress and Lois Lane (Smallville).

I love both of these characters! But I'm a Marvel guy, so I'm going with Hawkeye.

I'd have to go with Hawkeye on this, whilst Green Arrow has completed some very difficult feats, Hawkeye has biological advantages. Hawkeye has four hundred million rod cells in his eyes whilst the average human only has around 50 million, he has enhanced muscle tissue in his eyes which allow for "orb distortion" and gives him the ability to change focal lengths.

Now I don't know how much of this is just bullsh*t science, but his character is clearly intended to have some sort of biological advantage that extends beyond human boundaries, and considering Green Arrow is character who is just a human with no superhuman 'powers', I'd say the obvious choice for this one is Hawkeye.

It was Johnathan Hickman's 4 issue run on Ultimate Hawkeye, it was part of a flashback scene where Clint's being interrogated by Shield before he's recruited by Fury. It's actually a pretty good book, I'd recommend it if you like Hawkeye. :)

I see people say Green Arrow is the better archer, but what makes him so?
Every feat ive seen Arrow do Hawkeye has done something comparable to it. But it would come down to whos the better fighter. I think Hawkeye is a slightly better one. Hawkeye gets my vote.

Hawkeye is not only the best marksman in Marvel, he has taken Captain America's place. Captain America once credited him as a physical combat worthy presence in the same range as himself. Iron Fist did the same after watching Hawkeye defeat a room of Hand Ninja with only nunchaku and martial arts.

This point Hawkeye proved after he felt ashamed at taking the Cap mantle and became up Ronin instead. He held his own on the New Avengers for over a year without ever touching a bow. When he started using his bow again, he assaulted The Dark Avengers HQ solo and damn near assassinated Norman Osborn. He also led The West Coast Avengers and The Thunderbolts, he once led a team to assassinate the Kree Supreme Intelligence, and he was the first Marvel superhero to join the JLA in the crossover...pretty sure it was after he beat Green Arrow.

Hawkeye wins, and it ain't even close.

Hmm I can't decide... Not a fan of how DC has handled its characters lately
...And Marvel hasnt been doing so hot either...
I'm a draw...
Here's waht I do know: I do like Speedy/Red Arrow/Roy Harper/clone in Young Justice more than Hawkeye in the Avengers! (Though I still love Hawkeye in that too:)
