While this video isn't really comic book related, it's pretty gosh dang awesome, as two of your favorite motion capture characters are brought to life by the man behind the voices himself, Andy Serkis. If you're happy about this, don't forget, this guy's gonna be in Star Wars: Episode VII.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), from a screenplay written by Mark Bomback, Scott Z. Burns, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The cast includes: Andy Serkis (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Public Enemies, The Great Gatsby), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises, The Harry Potter film series), Keri Russell (The Americans, Mission Impossible III), Toby Kebbell (The Prince of Persia, Wrath of the Titans, Rock N Rolla), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In, ParaNorman), Enrique Murciano (Traffic, Black Hawk Down), Kirk Acevedo (The Thin Red Line) and Judy Greer (The Descendants, Three Kings, 13 Going on 30). The film climbs into theaters July 11, 2014.

@Alexanderlykins Motion capture for the most part requires more acting then regular ones, cause they have to act with just their face. and their movement. Sometimes they will have their voice sometimes they wont, like serkis didn't have his voice when he played king kong, and he was great there. So kindly

@AlexanderLykins - really just sounds like you'll find any reason not to give the guy his credit. You admit he was outstanding in The Prestige, good, but ignore every role he's famous for performing excellently? Doesnt really seem fair. Dude's a brilliant actor, and that's a bogus rule to use as an excuse to ignore the fact that he gives an outstanding performance in everything he does. You asked people what he's been good in, they answered, just because you said it doesnt count doesnt mean it doesnt exist. You're the kid on the playground who puts a "force field" up during tag just so he cant lose...

@AlexanderLykins so you're saying just because its Mocap, his work in LOTR, King Kong and Planet of the Apes means nothing? Hmm,mynah, makes perfect sense.

I read an article somewhere about Gollem in LOTR. & It painted a completely different picture of how that character came to life.

@AlexanderLykins

Are you even an actor sir? I've been acting for years and I can tell you that what Andy Serkis can do is next level. It's a different mindset you have to be in especially with voice acting and motion capture. Regular actors don't always make great voice actors, it's rare that he's able to be able to capture the character of an Ape... CHARACTER OF AN APE. That requires so much studying and so much technique. For acting you can do easy character study on human characters and method act all you want, but to be able to perform as an Ape, Gollum and King Kong is not and I repeat NOT an easy task.
