GODZILLA VS. KONG: The Iconic Beasts Roar Into Battle In First Snippets Of Footage

It's very brief, but Warner Bros. released the first footage from the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong movie tonight during a CCXP Worlds sizzle reel. See the iconic monsters roar into battle after the jump...

Warner Bros. hosted a 6-hour panel during tonight's CCXP Worlds online event, but fans were left very disappointed by the lack of new content. Aside from a new 60-second spot for Wonder Woman 1984, the only noteworthy tease for the studio's 2021 slate came in the form of about 3 seconds of footage from Adam Wingard's highly-anticipated monster mash, Godzilla vs. Kong.

The short clip gives us a first glimpse of the giant ape unleashing a battle roar as the current King of the Monsters surges through the ocean to meet his challenge.

Starring Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Shun Oguri, Jessica Henwick and Brian Tyree Henry, Godzilla Vs. Kong pits the two famous monsters against each other in an epic battle. Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok) and Max Borenstein (The Terror) wrote the screenplay.

"In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever."

Godzilla vs. Kong is set for release in theatres and on HBO Max next May.

@Dredd97 -

Sorry, easy joke.

I'm hoping this will be at least decent, but the "Monsterverse" has been hit and miss so far.

@Feralwookiee - hahaha okay, that was good.
But yes, I agree. I don't think any of them have been bad, but they range from pretty good to meh. Just trim the human character shit, and give us a kaiju action

As long as we get Godzilla shoving a tree down Kong's throat this time around; it would be a great homage to the original.

I came here to see if I could get hyped for this, but they didn't give us much.

I've tried many times over the years to watch Kong or Godzilla movies and I just don't get the appeal. The 2005 Kong and Skull Island were about as good as it gets for me and they were just meh.
