Steven Spielberg's upcoming sci-fi adventure Ready Player One promises to take the audience into a visually-stunning world of pop culture, and an upcoming book shows us the process behind the creation of this world.

The Art of Ready Player One reveals how Spielberg brought Ernest Cline's hit novel to the screen. Entertainment Weekly recently published a sneak peek of the book that gives us a taste of what we can expect in the movie.

The book shows us concept art behind the stacks in Columbus, Ohio, where the story's hero Wade Watts lives. It's also an image the novel's cover made famous:

The IOI headquarters, on the other hand, is a pretty different representation of the real world. This picture shows an army of Sixers ready to enter the OASIS:

We also get a look at the OASIS itself:

The Art of Ready Player One is written by Gina McIntyre with a foreword by Spielberg and an introduction by Cline. It's available for purchase on April 3.

@ODanil - Well the book certainly wasn’t and nothing I’ve seen has really led me to believe that the film will be drastically any better but people like it.
