UPDATE: Possible JURASSIC PARK 4 Plot Details Leak [Spoilers]

Some potential plot details for Universal's Jurassic Park 4 have leaked online, and if they're true, they give us a very good idea of what to expect from the long in-development fourquel and its approach to the infamous dinos.

After being pushed back from its June 2014 date, Jurassic Park 4 is back on track for a planned 2015 debut, with plans to shoot it in 3D. Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) is directing the dinosaur sequel, with a script originally written by Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Now, some possible plot info has leaked online, via JoBlo. If true, the following will be an entirely new take on the long-running franchise, particularly with the way the infamous dinosaurs are portrayed. Check out the plot outline below. [Keep in mind that the following can be considered spoilerific, so if you don't want to know anything about Jurassic Park 4 beforehand, it'd be best to skip reading.]

JURASSIC PARK 4, set in present day Isla Nublar, is now an actual theme park, as originally intended by John Hammond in the first film. It garners 10 million visitors per year and is completely safe - until it's not. The park itself is described as very Sea World-esque and includes an area called the Isla Nublar Lagoon. That means underwater dino's for the first time. No indication of what kind, but there's concept art showing one of the aquatic dino's, as part of a show, jumping out of the lagoon and eating a strung up great white shark like it was a fish for a dolphin at sea world.

As part of a show, you ask? That's right, folks, this will feature "tamed" dino's. In fact, our source indicated that the usually menacing Velociraptors (which will finally be muzzled, along with the T-Rex - until they're not) will actually be used to help fight the threat, which begins in the form of a new dinosaur, not seen in any of the previous films (and not disclosed to us) shows to be much smarter than originally thought and is the main cause of havoc breaking out at the park.

So, to sum it all up, JURASSIC PARK 4 will take place back on Isla Nublar with a fully operational dinosaur theme park (I'm sure no expense was spared) that's both prosperous and safe, until a new dinosaur figures out a way to wreak havoc, causing the use of the now tamed Velociraptors (and T-Rex? Unclear) as a means to fighting the threat.

JoBlo also notes that there are currently no details on the human characters (new or old) in the film, "but I'm sure they'll play a big part in the grand scheme of things." What do you think of this approach? Are you looking forward to Jurassic Park 4?

UPDATE: The Film Stage heard from a source that the above info is not from Colin Trevorrow's version of Jurassic Park 4. Instead, it turns out that it's from an old script for the fourquel. Oh well.

That actually be a good idea since the original actor is still acting!

So your combining the first film and Peter Griffin's script for Big Jaws together?

Peter's Big Jaws script had an even bigger Jaws and regular Jaws and humans teamed up to fight Big Jaws.

Now we have humans and dinosaurs fighting together to fight an even bigger Dinosaur.

This seems lame.

Well that is an interesting idea for the film. But only ten million visitors a year. To me that is way lower then I think it would really be. Disney World does easily 16 million a year. I believe Jurassic Park would cost a lot more then those kind of amusement parks. But still I could see many more people going to JP then the other parks. Also a lot more people would travel from other country's to go to JP then other parks. So the number is lower then it should be.

Also I am not sure if people ever played the traveler Tales game about JP. They made the Walking Dead game. But in that game it dealed with underwater dinosaurs. So I guess that is kind of the way Universal is going with JPIV. It also showed more of the park like the amusement rides. So it will be interesting to see more of the park.

I know I am probably the only one but I want to see more of the herbivores. They to me at least would be the more dangerous ones. Maybe not in the sense that they want to eat you but in the way of defense. Because if you pissed them off they would be more dangerous then a T-Rex.

Because they have big spikes and horns. I would love to see an angry ankylosaurus fight the humans. That would be fun to see.

Sounds better than usual fourths in a film franchise. Hopefully the execution of the film is good.

This whole "Humans using Dinosaurs to fight the bigger Dinosaur threat" just seems kind of weak.

that sounds [frick]ing terrible,I am sorry, but in the real world they would not let this happen after the outbreak in the first film and I am sure people around the world would of heard of that news so who the [frick] would fly to an island with things that may eat them after that, and the fact they have trained the dinosaurs is stupid, for once I won't reserve judgment

lame. sounds cheesy, that's not what Jurassic park was about. "tamed" dinosaurs" ... sounds like a cartoon from the 70's. and yes some dinosaurs should have feathers. what made Jurassic park scary was the accuracy (more bird like) and the feel you got that if dinosaurs were around today how it would be like. mammals didn't evolve much during that time because dinos were killers.

Heroic, tamed dinosaurs fighting for mankind? GTFO. This is lame as hell. Now, the text does emphasize that the dinosaurs do get out of hand but still, lame. I do like the premise of a fully functional and prosperous park.

I don't think it's ment as the humans are using dinasours to take him down, just that they are both fighting to get rid of the one big mofo dinasour that's terrorizing them both

This has Jaws 3-D written all over it! Perhaps visitors can be stuck in an underwater tube when a great white shark attacks it, just like Jaws did, before being eaten my a dinosaur ;P

Although, I will say, Trevorrow did impress me with Safety Not Guaranteed. I was secretly hoping that they'd try and breed dinosaur and human DNA for a hybrid race as hinted to in concept drawings for the long abandoned version . . . maybe that's the new dinosaur! ;) Ah who knows, can't get much worse than JP3, right? Just don't cast any annoying ass kids this time around! There are better child actors than the ones JP tends to feature!!
