Norman Osborn, aka the Green Goblin, is Spider-Man's most iconic villain, but we have yet to see him make his MCU debut in Sony's rebooted series of Spidey adventures. It's bound to happen eventually, of course, but it remains to be seen how the costume designers intend to approach that notoriously difficult-to-adapt Goblin outfit.
The version of the character played by Willem Dafoe in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man was universally praised, but his Power Rangers-esque armor came in for a lot of backlash. Fans wanted to see a more comic-accurate take, but a rubber or animatronic mask probably would have looked even sillier, so what's the solution?
Artist Charles Logan has shared his design for Gobby with us, and while it is still influenced by the previous live-action version, it also incorporates elements from the character's comic book counterpart. "I was inspired by games like injustice, Arkham Games and Spider-Man PS4," Logans tells CBM. "I just wanted to bring a practical and tactical approach to Norman."
