Mother Of Injured "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" Actor Speaks Out

Her comments are, suprisingly, not in any way negative about the unfortunate Broadway production.

Despite the fact that Christopher Tierney fell more than 20 feet earlier this month (which could easily have been fatal had he landed on his head), the mother of the actor is not negative in the least about the production. Catherine Tierney told The Hollywood Reporter:

"I'm just so surprised this is so huge...It's huge for me since this is my son. But it's just so surprising the level of interest from the rest of the world."

According to her, he is "doing great, and will continue to do great..." while he recovers from the injuries sustained from the fall.

In closing she said: "I'm waiting for my son to tell his own story....But he is doing great."
