Garfield & Webb Would Welcome SPIDER-MAN/AVENGERS Crossover

This would be Marvel's chance to capitalise on using their flagship character from Sony and doing a studio crossover with the Avengers.

So what do you think. Would you love to see this spectacular movie or would you rather have Marvel regain the rights and start over.

Leave the comment in the usual place and don't forget to 'Thumbs Up'.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro, Sally Field as Aunt May, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, and Dane DeHann as Harry Osborn. The movie hits theaters May 2nd, 2014.

Please God No!
I want the REAL Spiderman in the MCU, not the hipster Spiderman where his parents are incredibly important in the story and he's a dumb guy.

It's not going to happen. Unless Sony as a company struggles more and the higher ups force it but the people who run the film aspect of Sony have no desire to do it.

And the look of the new movie are far to be as good as the MCU looks.

They can actually do it if they want to. Sony and Marvel don't seem to have a bad relationship. Do they want to? I doubt it. I think Sony wants to keep TASM to themselves and build a universe around that
MsDarkPhoenix
MsDarkPhoenix - 2/28/2014, 9:18 AM
The continuity would be messed up. Where was Spider-Man when New York was attacked?? Where were the Avengers during TASM and TASM2?? Eating shawarma???
GizmoEl
GizmoEl - 2/28/2014, 9:27 AM
Continuity doesn't necessarily have to be messed up actually. They can easily write the excuse that Spidey wasn't Spidey yet when the invasion of NYC happened. Why didn't we see damage in TASM? Because it was contained within a few block radius downtown. Where were the Avengers during the Lizard attack? Well Stark moved back to Cali, Steve was in DC, Banner was in the wind, Thor was in the other realms, etc. It was an event that happened within a few hours. Lizard attacks the school, police aren't sure what's going on. The first lizard spotting is when he attacks the SWAT team, then he goes to Oscorp. Spidey shows up a little while after and defeats him. No time or need for anyone else to show up.

If they want to do a crossover, it's not that hard to do. I doubt we'll see it happening since both franchises are doing well separate from each other.

DO IT… or not.

@TheDarkPhoenix they could always play it as he wasnt spider-man yet or the whole incident went down in a day, so maybe he had an BIG exam the next morning...

There's one marvel character that could honestly allow all of these crossovers to take place and that character is no one else other than "The Watcher" all they would have to do is use a phrase like "There are multiple parallel universes amongst us with different alterations of yourselves (showing glimpses of multiple characters from Fox and Sony fighting villains and etc behind him) this would be a cool way to bring all of the characters together if these studios were to ever agree towards an idea like this. This way (for some fans) all of the franchises we've previously had (X-Men, Fantastic 4 and The Amazing Spider-Man) won't be worthless you know?

I know...I know...lol "TBN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?!" But it would be a pretty cool nod to other franchises without just crapping on them and making them worthless towards Disney's MCU.

A Spider-Man/Avengers crossover would be the biggest event in movie history.
SuperSpiderMan5778
SuperSpiderMan5778 - 2/28/2014, 9:31 AM
@darkphoenix i think people who say they hate Avengers are just desperate cries for attention. like look at me i'm going against the grain look at me look at me i'm not a follower i'm a leader etc etc...ok we get it mission accomplished...you're still a douche though haha

@themidnightking i think so too bud. i mean we almost got Oscorp to appear in Avengers. a set pic of a stark industries captain american motorcycle was taken on the set of TASM 2 so that's a lot closer than we've ever gotten. hopefully we will get closer to some sort of a crossover in the future.

@Youngman

Batman/Superman crossover won't touch the box office that a Spider-Man/Avengers crossover would generate.
Desrow
Desrow - 2/28/2014, 9:40 AM
Knowing Sony it's more believable that Spidey appear on Man of Steel 2 than in the new Avengers.
TheYoungMan
TheYoungMan - 2/28/2014, 9:41 AM
@TheHeat I don't think adding Spidey would make much of a difference. In the eyes of the general public, it just means that they're going from 9 heroes to 10. Is Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Blackwidow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Nick Fury really that different from Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Blackwidow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Nick Fury?
